You know Roaddoc8, the Murphy bashers wait until they see he made an error or bad play. Other players on the Mets dont count. Today throw by pitcher to 1st (E) throw by Bay (E) 3 errors. When Turner makes an error nothing is said. Murphy made a beautiful double play today, but that doesnt count. Its that way, thank God that Murphy doesnt read these posts. Dickey said yesterday that Reyes will be missed for his energy and brightening up the team, but we have Daniel Murphy now who does it all by himself. That is what we need and not the negative remarks.

>Murphy is a very easy target for the pack of ravenous wolves we have here, drooling to jump on the bandwagon.

I take most of the opinions of the players expressed here with a grain of salt. Nobody here is privy to the inside of the clubhouse, no matter how "baseball savvy" they think they are. I listen to the players, the coaches and the press who are on the inside and the reports are that this is one of the hardest working teams and Daniel Murphy is right on top of that evaluation. I have no doubt that after the game, after the workout he was in the backfield taking ground balls over and over. We don't see the energy with Murphy like we did Reyes because on the field he is lower key and more of a "business as usual" guy, but whatever RA says is law and I believe him. I think Murphy, as long as he doesn't get injured again, will literally will himself to be a major league second baseman.<
