Funny how guys are shuddering at the thought of BP playing at age
35 or 36 and happy about Votto playing at 40.
UR right about middle infileders. I would go for 4 years and a mutual
option for a 5th. Signing BP for more than five would not any different than
signing Joey for 10 years, which I think is ridiculous and and probably detrimental
to the payroll unless he is going to expand it by 40 m.
The only saving grace in Votto's contract is he probably won't
hang around when he only 50% of what he once was.

Most of the negative things said about BP are c..rap.
