Couldn't have a better victory. On the Dodger stadium 50th anniversary AND Ethier's birthday.

Did anyone else catch the postgame, on-field, interview with Ethier? He seemed very composed, friendly, and outwardly voicing his want to be here. While part of that had to have been because of the HR and such, it was cool to hear from him.

Yea, I caught the post game interview and agree he was friendly, composed, etc. I am sure he feels a huge weight has been lifted playing without injuries and once again playing up to his talent. I think Dre will have best season ever this year and be rewarded with a great contract insuring his stays with us for many more years and get a WS ring or two along the way.

I kept waiting for the pie in the face gag but surprisingly it never happened. I don't ever remember the Dodgers doing it actually.

Ethier got it a few years back from Matt Kemp. I think it got in Ethier's eyes...so he may have told them not to do it:

Yes I saw it, very few are talking about it, they would have to admit they were wrong. The guy is a winner, his entire history he has been a winner. It's understandable he has been frustrated, it's only normal.

I will believe it when I see Ethier signs a new Dodger contract.
