While I do think they will have a better record than last year (not saying much is it?), I'm in agreement with you about the pitching. We have a bad rotation and bullpen. Liriano will be the same, Baker will be in and out of injuries, and Pavano will be similar to last year. Marquis will be his usual over 4 ERA self, the wild cards are Hendriks and Swarzak...but I don't see either of them being aces, although I think Liam has a good career ahead of him.

Our pitching staff has 4 #3/4 starters and a guy who SHOULD be an ace (Liriano) but can't find consistency. That's just the starters. We'll lose close to 100 games again this season. I had hoped the offense might find some runs here and there but so far the only explosiveness this team demonstrates is when opposing batters swing at our pitchers' deliveries.

Thank god we have the NHL playoffs to look forward to... WAIT... thank god we have NBA Basketball to look forward to... WAIT... thank god we have the Vikings to look forward to... WAIT. I know... We have our Minnesota Lynx. YES!
