ok,so lets say we trade niese,get myers. we have flores with nothing to do,no position to play.we trade dickey for zach lee and dee gordon (if its still on the table,havent heard much recently) ..what would be the chances we could take flores and lee and pull in shields to replace dickey,then sign lannan to replace niese?

Yes, but I'd say no deal! Hitters will always be available, not a good lefty who's young and still has a chance to become a solid #2 rotation guy! Niese is too valuable a piece to trade for a potential rookie of the year, which may not happen. Niese has become a proven starter. Why would anybody including Sandy Alderson want to CREATE a hole by filling one, and by an unproven prospect. The logic escapes me.
