So, what you're saying is that since you see one source posted a majority of times (on a baseball forum) it means that's the only source being read. lol

If you vote Democrat or Republican you're part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Senate Democrats appear willing to use your paycheck to play political hardball on taxes unless Republicans agree to President Obama's plan to raise taxes on America's top earners.

A top Senate Democrat warned Monday that, if Republicans don't relent, her caucus is willing to let all the Bush-era tax rates expire at the end of the year -- in effect threatening to let the country fall off what many in Washington call the "fiscal cliff."

That cliff is approaching at the start of 2013, when the Bush tax cuts are set to expire and billions of dollars in automatic spending cuts -- spawned by last summer's debt-ceiling debate -- are set to take effect. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are hoping to shift around those spending cuts to spare key areas like defense, and to temporarily extend the Bush tax rates for at least some Americans. Some have warned a failure to do so could send the nation back into recession.

PHOENIX – Investigators for an Arizona sheriff's volunteer posse have declared that President Barack Obama's birth certificate is definitely fraudulent.

Members of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse said in March that there was probable cause that Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April 2011 was a computer-generated forgery.

Now, Arpaio says investigators are positive it's fraudulent.

Mike Zullo, the posse's chief investigator, said numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate that those parts weren't filled out, yet those sections asking for the race of Obama's father and his field of work or study were completed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is promising a strong reaction after an attack on Israeli tourists that he says was carried out by Iran.

A bus carrying mostly Israeli youth in a Bulgaria exploded near an airport Wednesday, killing 7 people and wounding at least 30 others, local police and hospital officials say. Witnesses told Israeli media that the huge blast occurred soon after someone boarded the vehicle.

A Bulgarian news agency is also reporting that two pregnant women and an 11-year-old Israeli girl are among the wounded.

Bulgarian media is reporting that one of the victims killed is a local tour guide. Nine of the tourists are reportedly still missing, according to Haaretz news.

The incident took place in the Black Sea resort city of Burgas, some 250 miles east of the capital, Sofia. Images shown on Israeli media showed smoke billowing from the scene -- a parking lot at the area's airport where tourists had apparently just landed.

Netanyahu said "all signs point to Iran."

This "is an Iranian terror attack that is spreading across the world," Netanyahu said. "Israel will react strongly to Iran's terror."

NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. – A Pennsylvania woman allegedly changed her children's grades after logging into a school computer system using passwords obtained when she worked for the district.

Investigators say Catherine Venusto used the Northwestern Lehigh School District superintendent's password to change the grades. She was arraigned Wednesday on a half-dozen felony counts and released on bail.

Officials say Venusto changed a failing grade to a medical exception for her daughter in 2010, when she was still a district secretary. The New Tripoli woman is also accused of bumping one of her son's grades from 98 to 99 percent in February.

State police say Venusto admitted changing the grades, saying she thought her actions were unethical but not illegal.

lol Dumb as it gets.

BOSTON – The mayor of Boston is vowing to block Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant in the city after the company's president spoke out publicly against g*y marriage.

Mayor Thomas Menino told the Boston Herald on Thursday that he doesn't want a business in the city "that discriminates against a population."

Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press this week that his privately owned company is "guilty as charged" in support of what he called the biblical definition of the family.

The fast-food chicken sandwich chain later said that it strives to "treat every person with honor, dignity and respect -- regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."

Seems to me like everyone wants to throw Mr Cathy under the bus, so to speak, because he has publicly voiced his convictions concerning homosexuality. He doesn't seem to have any rights to his opinions but those who oppose him do. This should not even be a "story". If you want to eat at Chick-Fil-A that is your right. If you don't want to eat at Chick-Fil-A that is your right. I don't remember anything being said that if you were "that "g" word I can't say, you wouldn't be allowed to eat there. The man just expressed his opinion. I think the Mayor of Boston should be reminded of the Bill of Rights which mentions something about American citizens having the right to free speech and expression.

And, by the way, I think I will sue whoever runs this board because my freedom of speech rights are being violated!!

A recently released report shows widespread tax fraud in connection with the federal government’s Individual Taxpayer Identification Number program.

The U.S. Treasury inspector general report accuses the IRS of discouraging employees from reviewing applications for the ID numbers, which are generally from non-resident workers.

The inspector general specifically said there were 154 mailing addresses that were used 1,000 or more times on applications, including 15,795 numbers assigned to a Phoenix address.

The report, which evaluated the processing year 2011, also found inadequate controls can result in the numbers being assigned to people who have not proved their identity or foreign status, which can result in fraudulent tax returns.

The inspector general also found 10 individual addresses were used for filing 53,994 tax returns and receiving $86.4 million in fraudulent tax refunds. For example, 23,994 tax refunds totaling $46.3 million were issued to an address in Atlanta; and 2,507 tax refunds totaling $10.4 million were issued to an address in Oxnard, Calif.

If you harbor any doubts about how dysfunctional Washington has become, add two books to your reading list: “Bailout” by Neil Barofsky and “Red Ink” by David Wessel.

Each describes a federal government incapable of taking steps vital to America’s future. And each leaves you wondering if the system is too broken to mend.

Start with “Bailout,” Barofsky’s angry memoir of his stint as the special inspector general policing the $700 billion bank bailout Congress passed after the collapse of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.

Wessel closes with an analysis of why the country can’t live beyond its means forever. The U.S. government now owes $11.1 trillion to others -- or $11,065,934,893,561.99, to quote the precise figure on the Treasury’s “Debt to the Penny” website yesterday morning.

Given our polarized political system, we may end up kicking the debt can down the road. Unfortunately, bad things happen to countries whose debt loads get too high.

“Think Argentina, circa 2001,” Wessel writes. “Think Greece, circa 2012.”

The CIA has plans to relocate the headquarters of its domestic division, which is responsible for operations and recruitment in the United States, from the CIA's Langley headquarters to Denver, a move designed to promote innovation, according to U.S. intelligence and law enforcement officials.

About $20 million has been tentatively budgeted to relocate employees of the CIA's National Resources Division, officials said. A U.S. intelligence official said the planned move, confirmed by three other government officials, was being undertaken "for operational reasons."

A CIA spokesman declined to comment. Other current and former intelligence officials said the Denver relocation reflects the desire of CIA Director Porter J. Goss to develop new ways to operate under cover, including setting up more front corporations and working closer with established international firms.

Associates of Goss said yesterday that the move was also in keeping with his desire to stop the growth of CIA headquarters and headquarters-based group-think, something he criticized frequently when he was chairman of the House intelligence committee.
