Really…that’s hardly ever the case. I have accepted you for how you are. Which we all have to do, I went off the deep end with Chris Young and recently Gibson.

I’m not sure how Paul will really do, but I will let him fail before I fail him in my mind.

And that goes for all the players. I hope I can keep that much of an open mind.

As I said yesterday (?) I really do hope I'm wrong about Paul. I really like him as a player and really want to see him and Davidson on the corners for many years.

As long as Towers and Roberts aren’t here, right?

Now I really am just kidding ha ha.

Have I said Roberts should go? I'm not sure. lol. I think I said I like him better as a super utility guy for LF, 2B, 3B, 1B, and emergency catcher.

You're undoubtedly right about Allen. My fear is that your description of him is starting to fit Paul Goldschmidt. My fear is that he (Paul) is to the offense what Collmenter is to the rotation. I think he needs a good month of May in order to stay on the Dbacks' active roster.

At this point I’m ready to give Goldie his pink slip myself, just so I don’t have to hear Ron’s hopes, ooops I meant his fears.

I really hope you're right and I'm wrong about him. That 28% strike out rate in the minors worries me. Very few players are able to improve on that in the Majors, and more often get worse. Unfortunately, Mark Reynolds is probably in his last season in MLB. For as much as I think Goldschmidt is going to strike out, I think he needs to hit .250 with at least 25 HR and 80 RBI each season to be considered a solid player. As much as Reynolds hit HR and RBI's, I guess we shouldn't forget all of the rallies he killed by striking out.
