Agree 100%

On most nights when the Bucs get that kind of production from a hitter, he would get my full vote. But Hanrahan was the ultimate closer tonight. Against three pretty good lefty sticks.

1/2 Walker

1/2 Hanrahan

Pine Richlands Neil Walker for SOG

The thing is I remember maybe 6 weeks ago me saying Neil was an average second baseman, I had no problem with him, but he was average. What a tear since then. He is now 2nd in OPS for second baseman in the national league, only 12 points behind Aaron Hill.

His power has been a pleasant surprise.

1/2 Walker 5 RBI wooo hoo!

1/2 Hanrahan for a perfect 3K inning....he didn't let anyone other than the catcher handle the ball!!

"Tip o' the cap to Snider, Korea and Hanny."

What did Correia do? Not a good game from him.

"Too bad he is a below average second baseman who should be traded away"

Not sure if you are directing this towards me, but I never said he should be traded, I said he should not be given an extension. And he was well below average for nearly a year...you know, when I said he was below average.

I said he needed to get back to how he was hitting in 2010, because his fielding has improved to the point that he can be an All Star. I was told by many that he will never hit like that again and it should not be expected. Does not look like I was wrong on that one.

Yep, good thing Alvy's "offensive force" LaRoche didn't take his place.

Ok, sorry.

I expect this kind of offense from him, and was doubting him because he was in a free fall. Of course I was then attacked for stating the obvious, and the apologist came out in full force to defend the guy from here that sounds like us. He is capable of hitting well, but was not. He was hitting bad for a good stretch actually.

Glad he changed that. He is playing like one of the best 2B in baseball right now. Why should we not expect him to continue that?
