Every time I see Mauer's commercial of head and shoulder, I keep thinking wasn't there any other better looking chick they could find for that commercial ?

Verlander pulls a Blackburn. Nice job by Nathan. Down by 5 and will be tough to come back against pitchers like Gios, Strausbergs and Dickeys.

I can't believe I'm about to defend baby jesus here, but Mike Napoli got voted in over him? Really? Fans are stupid. It's not like Joe has marginally better numbers than Napoli, he is batting 100 points higher than him with a double digit lead in RBI's over him.

Looks like no home field advantage for the Twins in the world series this year.

Wieters set to come in next. I hope Mauer at least gets an AB in this one.

LOL, the Detroit Tigers are pretty much losing this one for the AL.

You beat me to it, was driving home and going to post the same thing. LOL
Bert is Tweeting that the Fox announcers are talking too much about Harper and Trout, apparently he has never listened to his own schtick.

Absolute complete embarrassment for the AL. Getting shut out. Says a lot about Ron Washington.

HUH ???? Whats up with that punctuation ? You forgot the alphabets ? He is lucky to manage a team like the Rangers with the immense talent that they have. Went to the WS twice and could not win once especially the biggest choke job in WS history when you are one strike out away twice to win it.

Not to mention we send Mauer as a catcher and he plays 1B. So I guess this is gonna be a trend until he retires and all the homers will be crowning him as the best catcher ever to hit for average and OBP. * rolls eyes *

You seem to be a little a few liberities from this game. Ron Washington had very little to do with the team losing, especially in an all-star game. His players love playing for him and he has lead this team to two World Series when they had never been to one before. And Texas had some talented teams with Pudge, Palmerio and Juan G.

And its an All-Star game, so where players play are really not that important and shouldn't really hold much merit. I mean Mark Trumbo played in Right Field during this game, how many times has he played in right?

Knock it off! There's only a limited number of posters on this board, not thousands. Everyone of them knows how you feel about Mauer. Give it a rest, it's gotten old.

Got home and it was 8-0, used a question mark because you posted "Says a lot about Ron Washington", I thought you might fill me in what he did wrong in the game. People use short cuts when posting all of the time I didn't think it was a bad thing.

That IS one reason he was selected...versatility...like it or not.
