Casting my Vote for Erik "First Month" Bedard....he was dealing tonight against a pretty good hitting DBacks team...i liked the increased tempo Bedard was using...he did not seem behind in the count as much tonight...

Bedard for SOG. I didn't turn on the game until the 8th inning but, perusing the box score, it's apparent that he was special tonight.

At one point he retired 17 straight...the 18th batter was thrown out at second on a great throw from Marte in Left to end the inning....Bedard was pretty darn good tonight....

Not quite sure if you meant this for me, but I have two rules in life:

1. I refuse to join any club or organization that would accept someone like me as a member.

2. I would never consider ruining your rep amongst the beautiful people by doing anything other than washing your limo.

It's great to see that he's been very effective in his past few starts. Getting he and McDonald back on track, along with Burnett and Wandy, and then throw in the bulldog that is Karstens, and we have one heck of a rotation.

The most lackadaisical and leisurely Star of the Game ever, starring Erik Bedard, heh.

Just kind of strolls around and gets guys out, then strolls to the plate and slaps the ball into left. Only made one glaring mistake pitch today, and luckily that was caught out in left field in PNC as opposed to the upper deck in Arizona.

Great performance tonight.

As much as Bedard gave a commanding performance tonight, I'm giving the SOG to Cutch. When the offense squandered opportunity after opportunity tonight, the one run that actually held up came when Cutch took and opportunity and literally ran with it. Really heads up hustle here and something that set the tone in a game where runs would be at a premium. Sometimes when the offense is scuffling along, scratching out a run here and there can win ballgames. It did tonight.

Bedard for SOG. He really had a great game and it's a tremendous relief to see him start to turn it around with J-Mac being something of a question mark lately.
