Actually, Peyton at 30 % is much better than kneebow....he cant throw worth a dam n -nor is he a tenth as intelligent as Peyton...a proven elite talent or a maybe project in progress....given the choice?

I just hate to see someone thrown under the bus when they were actually successful (if just). I really hate Elw*y, so this would just give me more fodder.

He was more lucky than good...and Elway knows it...he will never forgive himself nor will the Denver fans if he should pass on Peyton and kneebow implodes next season...

Hate him or love him -he'd be a fool not to try and get Peyton....He ll I'm a Patriots fan and I wish the Pats could find a way to get him as insurance LOL

Hey John Elway/Peyton Manning? What's for dinner in Denver?

Hey. who knows ...if the Dolphins get Peyton they could leap frog over the Jets should they foolishly stick with Sanchez yet again...Dolphins have a talented and hungry young squad that Peyton could pull together into a considerable foe for the Patriots next season...I'm betting that he does go to Miami since his home is there and the team has potential....all in all not good for our Patriots but it will renew the old Pats -Fish rivalry...

Any half-way decent team (not sure if Miami would be included in that group) with Peyton at the helm will automatically be a front-runner. This is going with the assumption that Peyton is at least 80% healthy.

50% of Peyton trumps most QBs in the NFL....I still cant believe that this guy is available...

St Louis Rams trade #2 overall 2012 NFL Draft pick (1st Round) to the Washington Redskins.
So what does this mean now for Peyton Manning?

Damaged goods, and there is no guarantee that he can play next year.

It makes sense for Denver if they are willing to gamble on money. They keep Tebow on the bench. tell the fans, he is learning. keep the fans pacified. If Peyton fails, they bring Tebow in and the fans are happy with either scenario. Peyton is the only way Elway can get out of the Tebow era and still remain popular with Tebows rabid fan base.

If I were choosing, it would be a no-brainer (or a half-witter, at least). Peyton is 10X better than Kneebow will ever be.

peyton should join the 49ers

There were rumours to that in the past, but it doesn't look like there are any contacts to that effect by Peyton recently. That wouldn't be fair to Alex Smith, as he brought the 49ers to one game from the Super Bowl; however, that being said, Peyton would have probably brought them to the Super Bowl.

Bottom line: virtually every NFL team should be inquiring about Peyton except: Patriots, Giants, Saints, Packers...and possibly the Eagles....methinks that covers it....everyone else should have Peyton on their speed dial...

I would be fine if he went to Miami; fun rivalry against Tom. Unhappy if he went to the j e t s. Not interested in hearing Rex Ryan brag and crow about it and strut like a peacock for 6 months.

A guy at work said the exact same thing (and coincidentally enough, he's also a Y*nkees fan when it comes to Baseball). I still say you have to have some consistency and at least show some faith in the guys you got. The 49ers had their best season since Steve Young retired.
