Sadly this morning is not a very happy one in our household.I buried Inky this morning Maria. We said our goodbyes to him.We loved him so much.I shall be growing a special plant to go above his place in our garden.Even though I watched the game yesterday and it was a great performance by Ivan,my mind was not on the game really.Today we try and win the last game of this series and then come home to face the Rangers, who will be no easy opponent.Vibes to C.C Maria.Let us have him back healthy,as this DL is the right way to go,as long as he is fine on the 24th he will be rareing to go once more.Catch up with later Maria.L.John and Sue and Molly and Kitt....R.I.P Inky our beloved cat.xxxx

So sorry to hear about your kitty. We're huge cat people here and it's always so sad to hear about people losing their beloved friends.

Prayers to Inky and your family.

Hello John,
Sorry to read that you lost your Inky. I know how it feels my friend, because last year I lost my dog (my loyal friend throughout 12 years). I'm still missing him.
Nova was good, but during his pitching I felt uneasy. Maybe this was due to his previous outings. He must repeat his yesterdays performance.
Today....Hughes....I hope he pitches well enough to keep us in the game to sweep these Jays once more.
We are gaining speed again, John.
Take care my friend, Best wishes.

Hi Zen, We begin to rally again. I hope Hughes pitches decent enough and kept us in the game today. I don't want to feel myself on pins and needles once more.
This is the hottest summer I saw....weather wandering around 100-105F....but cooler days are coming....I miss our yellow summer.
Let's sweep these Jays once more, Zen.
++++vibes to you and yours, my friend++++

Thank you so much my good friend.Your words are a consolation, though the gap he has left is huge.We have two more cats and over the years we have had something like ten cats.We love(d) them all,as I know you must know the feelings that go through us at a time like this. Thanks again, from over the pond....John and Sue.

Thank you so much for your kind words uko.Sorry to hear of your loss,it breaks our hearts, doesn't it?I doubt they ever mend,as it is like losing a young child.I know people who have lost children may not feel that is how it is,but as myself and Sue have never had children,we can only say how much it hurts. As they are all buried in our back garden,we are able still to chat to them all,as though they are still with us.It may sound silly, but it helps us get over the loss each and every time it happens.I have faith in Phil today, mind you I did not realise how decimated the Jays line-up has become due to injuries and their starting rotation has also been decimated. But we must take advantage of these situations as other teams do when we are missing Alex and Andy and C.C and other players we have had on the DL.Lets keep moving forwarduko. No looking backwards.....John.

No win for us on Sunday Maria, but we are still on a bit of a roll, winning four out of five in Detroit and toronto.Phil did not have his stuff and even though we rallied,it was too many runs allowed by Hughes and the Relief pitcher after him(Not sure of his name)But we now have to face a stiffer task in Texas,so everyone will have to be on their toes.Lets Go Phelps.Lets Go Yankees.Today was tough without Inky.Hugs to you Maria.L.John and Sue,Molly and Kitt.xxxxxx

Hello John, unfortunately we lost against that lineup of Jays, which we could win easily. We are not in the days of trial and error, my friend. Girardi gave many chances to Phil which run into the ground. Even I, begin to think that we can't go anywhere with Hughes.
The Rangers series will be a good test for the team. I think Phelps will keep us in the game. I hope our offence can give him enough support to start the series with a win.
Take care my friend, Best wishes to you and yours.

I am so sorry to hear this John. I know you and Sue and the other kitties did all you could to make him comfortable and I believe Inky knew this as well. I love the idea of growing a special plant where you buried Inky.

RIP to Inky and big hugs to the rest of you.

Hughes worries me, uko. I don't know what happened to this young man but the Yankees organization needs to take a good hard look at how they worked with him and Joba. Both were extremely promising.

With that said, I do hope the two of them do well for us :)

Now we face the Rangers without C.C. A split would be nice. Winning this series would be awesome!

Thank you for those so very kind words Maria.A very good win by David Phelps last night, and how about Derek Lowe getting the save with four scoreless innings? How worth it is to see Nick Swisher smiling so much, after his 200th Home run of his career and a Grand slam at that.Eric Chavez is still hitting excellently,he has stepped up all year in my opinion, and with Alex out for another few weeks,he certainly has been great for our Yankees. All round a very good Yankee performance.Hiroka tonight Maria.I do hope he gets some good run support. He deserves it.Hugs to you Maria.L.John.xxxxx

Nice win Zen, both Phelps and Lowe were very good. Our hitters duly performed....and this is a wonderful day :-)
Tonight we'll seek another victory behind Kuroda. I hope we can make it.
Have a nice day my friend.

Hello John, Phelps satisfied our expectations and pitched great. He is very clever and quick ....two pickups in one game!!!. Also; Lowe was very good....I think he'll step up to the plate to prove himself.
I hope our hitters can repeat their last nights performance. and we can win behind Kuroda tonight.
You know, John. I also buried my dog to the my summer places garden, and now, a (Rosa rugosa - Japanese Rose) is growing over him, with white flowers.
Time heals all wounds my friend. Have a nice day. Best wishes to you and yours.

Not only special places in our hearts uko,but also in our gardens too.I bet that Rose looks lovely with the white flowers on it.Memories of our beloved animals and all the little ways they had with their little quirks etc.Oh how I wish ALL of ours were still with us.But it will never be, sadly.I too hope Hiroka gets the win tonight,he deserves some good run support. He has been an excellent pick up by our Yankees from the word go.Lets Go Hiroka.Lets Go Yankees.Keep well uko.Thank you for your kind words. You and Maria are so kind over our loss.Hugs to you both.....John.

I was a tad bit concerned early on, John, but our offense did good and so did Phelps :) So let's win again tonight with Kuroda on the mound. Eric is doing a good job, John. I was happy when the Yankees got him back for this season. And Swisher is good for this team. I hope he stays around after this season!

Hugs to all of you, John :)

How about that for a pitching performance Maria?Hiroka was superb, and it is not just this outing.I thought Nick had an outstanding at bat against Ogando and then to hit that 2rHR was huge. And Tex following it up made me so pleased that Hiroka got the support he needed.Catch up with you later today Maria.Lets Go Freddy.Lets Go Yankees..Hugs Maria.L.John.xxxx

Good Morning uko.How about that for a pitching performance by Hiroka?Another gem he has pitched. This time he gets a well deserved W by his name.He has not always received run support in his outings though,so this one was worth seeing.Nick Swisher and Mark Teixeria are hot at the moment, long may it continue.Freddy is pitching tonight and he has been on his game the past three starts, let us hope he gets good run support and pitches well.I am sure he will.Keep well uko, catch up later.....John.

Hello John, Kuroda is like a mellow wine. He is very experienced and clever pitcher. He uses different kind of pitches, changes his pitchspeed and baffles his opponents. I think he is our most consistent pitcher now.
I hope Garcia can keep us in the game tonight. It would be great if we can win tonights game.
Take care my friend. Best wishes to you and yours.

:-) :-) Another beautiful day, Zen. Kuroda was great and we won the second game against Rangers. We'll see what we can do in the remaining two.
I hope Garcia can keep us in the game tonight, and our hitters can support him.
Have a nice day, my friend.
