Really puzzling about Jurrjens. A couple of years ago he was a rising star. Injuries are part of it I'm sure.

Uggla got an RBI double and the Braves are down 2-1 top 4th.

Jason Heyward with a 2 RBI single to left to give the Braves a 3-2 lead in the top of the 5th. Craig Stammen relieved Gio Gonzalez. Gio struggled a bit with his control and he threw over 90 pitches in less than 5 innings. Walked two men and threw a wild pitch in the 5th. When he couldn't get the lefty hitter out, I guess Davey figured that was enough even though the game was still close. The Braves hit a lot of balls hard today that didn't fall in.

Braves beat the Nats 3-2.

Biggest plays of the game were Michael Bourn's two out catch in the second inning that saved two runs and Jason Heyward's two RBI single with two out in the 5th.

He can't locate to save his life, and his leg injuries have pretty much taken away his velocity. He's batting practice unless he can hit the corners. Luckily for the Braves Delgado has looked much better.

A win could have put the Mets in first place. They gifted that game to the Nats who finally said, OK, I guess we'll take it.

Braves beat the Marlins
Dodgers beat the Phillies

Jays-Braves are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 1992 World Series. Don't know why the Braves are celebrating a Series they lost. John Smoltz is getting his number retired.

Other World Series matchups from the past that that are being relived this weekend:

Mets-Yanks (2000)
Phils-Orioles (1983)
Astros-White Sox (2005)
Rangers-Giants (2010)
