it sounds like decision needs to be made one way or the other, people will be in or out based on it. i have no problem stepping away if more want a noncash league, but my suggestion would be to figure it out now (not this second) before too many start joining and you lose 5 teams.

I think 25-50 dollars plus the bragging rights are enough to keep it competitve and people interested.

i agree on that part, what im saying is that it has to be set as one of the rules before we get to far into it. if you are doing it, id rather do 50, but again, im not asking you to, if more want non cash, i will gladly step away.

Most people before when I brang it up had no problem with it being a cash leauge, so That is fine with me and IM willing to make the ruling that it will be for cash so we can start to figure out a number of teams .

"...emurph will be in for money. i would have a lot of trouble following a league with no money involved..."

Not looking to pick a fight here, just wondering what the aversion to an auction draft is...

Ahh... I was thinking maybe there was some sinister manipulation available in an auction draft. Say, for example, everyone gets in thinking the financial obligation isn $50, but then someone with a bigger available budget just outbids everyone for the best lineup and essentially buys the title. A version of "big stack" poker. At which point, the $50 doesn't become the buy-in, some much higher TBD number in effect is.

I've never done an auction draft either.

I'm up in the air on it. Already in one keeper league but that's on yahoo. It really depends on how much we are putting down plus a couple of my buddies from HS and few from College are starting a money league this year as well. Nothing too substantial and I think everyone in the other thread who was interested agreed to that part if it was money league. I'm all for others suggesting fee here and I'll see where it goes. I don't want to have too much money involved in 2 leagues.

I'll start with 25-30 range and everyone can suggest something lower or higher. I also think we agreed nothing to small either as people still might not stay in the league or go out.

I haven;t done one either but I've heard if you don't know what you are doing you can screw yourself quickly. And auction might turn more people away. Already hard enough to get people available for a draft to begin with.
