What would make you happy? A plane crash? We've got what we've got. I was at Wrigley Field for 7 1/2 hours on Sunday, and I saw a bunch of Cubs who didn't come through with men on base for almost the whole game, but never stopped producing baserunners. Eventually they tied it, and made the last five minutes worth it. I like that these guys aren't sneering mopers like we've had the past couple of seasons. Why not enjoy this bit of success, and hope it continues? Seriously, what would make you a happy Cubs fan, AC?

He'd be a happy cubs fan if they played on the south side and had a fan base primarily made up of the trailer trash he associates himself with. So basically the Sox.

+++The difference here may be Campana is faster, but over the long haul DeJesus OPS will always be better than Campana's. DeJesus has shown in the past that he will exceed the average OPS standard for OFs. Campana is the 2nd coming of Juan Pierre.+++
Who will get into scoring position the most batting leadoff, Campana or DeJesus? Campana of course, in this case ops is a useless stat.

I've waffled on Campana even being in the starting lineup. Sometimes he looks so good swinging the bat (i.e. the ripping liner he hit in the 9th inning on Sunday), and other times he looks so pathetic trying to chop ground balls for singles. But he's go so much doggone energy and gets on base enough that you've gotta love him. DeJesus, I think, just needs to be left alone, and if he isn't producing leadoff numbers by June make some changes. Right now, with DeJesus on first base and Campana at the plate, I like it that crazy (good) things that can happen before we get to Castro and LaHair.

OK, they didn't win a series until May. So should you be a miserable SOB from May until October, or get over it and enjoy the baseball season? The Astros were 10 games below .500 in JUNE one year and made the playoffs. In fact, the 2007 Cubs were 10 games below .500 in June and WON the division. Not saying that will happen here, but geez, you are ridiculous with the negativity. What should have happened today that would have made you happy? A very well-played win obviously didn't.
