I cringed when I saw Homer in the 8th--with 2 on base. But Homer has come of age. He's now able to reach back and get the tough outs!

But, Dusty was simply Lucky tonight: Bailey was great for 8
Rolen hit in the clutch
Chapman was dominant on back-to-back-to back

Luck will not get it done, Dumbo Dusty. It was dumb to waste Aroldis --Logan was available.
Rolen is on his way back, but not better than Frazier.
Bailey has heart--but Le Cure should have done the 8th

Dusty "manages" by hunches, and by playing favorite oldies. Sometimes it works, Most of the time it does not. Best move of the night:Heisey in CF and 2nd in BO. But Dusty will not continue with it--it's too rational for a neanderthal like him.

If Dusty made a mistake, it was in not bringing Bailey back out for the ninth. He had plenty left in the tank and could have given Chapman a much needed night off.

"waste" Aroldis? i don't understand that.... "waste" him in an important, nationally televised game, against our division rivals, in a game that could get us 1st place... or save him for Monday, in case we need him then?
and what if we don't need him, and whoever else came in lost the game?

i'm always a fan of playing the game that is actually going on.... in other words, it's possible that we'll blow out the D-Backs tonight and not need Aroldis, just as it was possible that Logan may have lost the game last night. it was a big win that we needed, to get the sweep against the rivals on a nationally televised game and take sole possession of 1st place, so you go with your best - i got no problem with the decision.

plus, you know, Logan will also be available tonight, if necessary.....
