"You don't have cable brother???"

No I don't and neither does 50% of the country. As I said in another post I don't have time to watch much TV except for some sports, so it's not worth it to pay for something that will be rarely used.

There are 150 million people in the country that don't have cable.

So that means of the approximate 22 million people that live in SoCal about 11 million don't have cable. And that means that by going to cable only the Angels are limiting their total fan base to about half of the people in SoCal! Not a good way to cultivate new fans and a great way to pi$$ off people like me that have been loyal fans for years.

" Sorry but I see this as nothing but greed."

"Sorry but I see this as nothing but cheapness. Either you enjoy baseball enough to put out a little dough or you don't."

This is a very narrow-minded view and I'm not at all surprised at this type of response.

btw.. aren't you the guy that thought KCOP only televised a "half a dozen" games a year? lol

Your numbers are extremely general and quite simple. I would bet you that of the 11 million without cable most could care less about the programming they're missing out on. And that among the 11 million with cable you'll find almost all the Angel fans who want to watch the team play.

Not that I don't think your numbers weren't pulled out of thin air. But regardless, people who don't have cable don't have it because they don't want it, that they're happy with what they have.

Face it, if the games meant something to you then you would pay the $29 a month it costs for basic cable.

Now why don't you go get in bed, bury your face in a pillow and have a good cry over how unfair life is.

We also forget all games are free on KLAA OTA and KLAA.com.

Isn't that the way fans used to listen to a ballgame? Radio?

If I was owner, I would buy KTLA and then buy the sister station in SD and show all LAA for free across the LA and SD markets to create a hug viewing audience in So Cal. I don't think that would ever happen because an owner would not want to get into other programing besides baseball like tv shows on the CW. Probably not a MLB owners thing.

Also the Padres would object along with the LAD. I remember the LAC would simulcast the Clips games to LA and SD markets (16 million potential eyes)when KTLA aired their games.

On Dish it shows Angels live at 6:30-7, 7-10:30 TBA and the Angels replay at 12-2am.

I don't get why it will not be shown???

Do find it odd we have so many NEW SN's on the board and all of a sudden. I know one person who has his usual multiple SN's going at the same time. Of course he denys it. A couple of his threads disappeared last night and others are still here.

Yesterdays game was encouraging. Let the streak begin.

lol So YOU think it's smart to cut off half of your potential audience? lol

Does your mommy pay your cable bill for you? lol

"Look, I don't have time to watch much TV except for some sports,"

If you're so short on time, just listen to the game on the radio, while you do something else productive. Maybe you could even be productive enough to produce something valuable that other people would pay for so that you could afford cable.

But I'm sure it's more fun to whine and blame greedy rich people who don't feel you're entitled to free stuff.

Hey, you might be able to get a bunch of Democrats to pass a law to force Arte to put games on broadcast tv. They usually agree with your entitlement philosophy. Maybe write some letters while you listen to the radio...

Except you couldn't do that... what do you think the money from Fox is for?

That conclusion paints you as someone lacking in intelligence.

Just because 50% of the country doesn't have cable, doesn't make that true in every small region.

The demographics of Southern California are often VERY different from those of the country as a whole. For example, the median income in SoCal is much higher than that of the country as a whole. And with that true, it's quite likely that a much higher percentage owns cable.

Man, what a touchy group we have here and we seem to have saps that like to make a political issue out of a baseball topic.

Perhaps they just don't have anything intelligent to offer?

OK, you proved you hate Dems..so what! LOL

I'm still wondering where he was watching Angels games on a regular basis 50 years ago. I remember it being 1 game a week on tv... appropriately named "The Game of the Week" on Saturdays. Oh, and everyone watched the same game everywhere.

What are you guys crying about. The fans in las vegas ar blacked out for 6 clubs including the Angels. Some stupid rule about television market. The closest stadium is anaheim and that is a 7hr turn around trip. Cant even watch on MLB network if I was willing to pay which I am. So when I hear that teams are losing revenue and the game is losing fans I for one cant shed a tear. 20 years from now if there isnt any baseball only policies like this will be blamed. I was born in milwaukee and use to be a brewers fan until they moved to the NL so Selig mus be german for s_u c_k.

"and we seem to have saps that like to make a political issue out of a baseball topic"

You're the a-hole who took it away from just baseball and made it a moral issue by calling Arte greedy.... since that's EXACTLY the equivalent of what Dems do every day, YOU are obviously the one who made it political. I'm just pointing out the equivalence for those who pay less attention.

"You're the a-hole .."

We also seem to have saps that call people names after they make stupid political statements on a baseball forum.

Only a twit would think that saying someone is greedy is a political statement. lol

"I'm just pointing out the equivalence for those who pay less attention."

You mean there are actually people here that are..uh, more challenged than you? LOL!

Well Chuck-O, you're batting a thousand.

Have a Coke and a smile. lol
