Good Morning my good friend.Yes Hiroka pitched a real gem of a game and the BP did it's job.I expect that we are thinking some of these guys in the minors are going to be the next Ace ,but it does not work that way,or at least very rarely.I think Washington's star pitcher is an exception to that rule though. But maybe in two years or three we may have one or two of those guys in the minors piutching at the major league level.Look at our Ivan Nova. What a diamond we found in him.Phil is going this afternoon and hopoefully he will continue his good pitching.I think Maria must be in New York watching one or two of these games against the CWS.I shall post her tomorrow.Enjoy the game today my friend. All the best to you and yours............John.

Hello John, Good win yesterday, and Phil was excellent. Now, two great and very important series are on the road. I hope we win both of them. We are playing better then Rays and RS.
Today, Garcia will take the mound. I'm expecting a strong outing from him.
Unfortunately I wil not watch the game. I'll be on the road to south, to my summer place for 2-3 months. Of course I'm taking my laptop with me, but it takes 3-4 days to obtain an internet line there.
Let's beat the Rays John.
We are leading the division, and we'll never look back again.
My best wishes to you and yours, my friend.
GO YANKEES....

Hi John, I didn't get to see the games since we lost power after a terrible storm. We just got it back early this morning!

I hope you, Sue and the kitties are doing well :)

Let's take this series with Tampa!

Hi Maria.Another wet morning here in Birmingham.I hope that you have not had more storms where you live?Freddy Pitched well last night I thought, and he only gave up two runs in his outing. That is much better than when he started the last time. The other teams lost in the A.L.East yesterday, except of course for the Rays. But we have Ivan on the hill tonight, and though Shields pitches well at home, hopefully our bats will score enough runs for a win.Have a good day Maria.Hugs to you all.L.John and everyone here.xxxxxxxxx

Hi John, it's still very hot here in Virginia and no relief in sight until next week. Thank goodness for air conditioning. We get storms every night but they haven't been as violent as the one on Friday. Tomorrow I get the day off. I am happy.

Let's hope Nova gets the win tonight. Oh I miss Andy and C.C.!

Hugs back to you, Sue and the moggies, my friend :)

Good Morning Maria.Hope the heat soon cools off for you and the family.I also hope that Dharma and Booda are not suffering too much with the heat.Well Maria we have a young rookie going for us this afternoon and I shall be watching him live as the game starts at 8-10 pm here.I am sure our Yankees will try their best and that is all we can ask of them, isn't it?Hugs to you all.L.John.xxxx

Hi John, the cool down doesn't come until next week when we go into the high 80s. That will feel like cold weather compared to what we have now ;)

I hope all is well with you, Sue and the kitties :)

Are you ready for the Yankees-Boston series?

Weather is brutal here in NYC. Just walking from PA to my office, I was drenched. Tomorrow, more of the same with some relief after the weekend.

Kim, do you have central air conditioning?

Kim: No, it pretty much cools all sections of my house.

Hello Maria. That weather you are having sounds far too hot for us soft English, and when it does drop to the eighties I think that would be enough for us here.I hope your air conditioning keeps working and that you do not melt away Maria. We are having deluges and some poor folk are having to protect their property with sandbags and other protective measures. The temperatures are in the seventies, and that is not too bad,but the mugginess is what is setting off the rain storms.Still it will end as will your hot weather. As far as our beloved Yankees are concerned, well yesterday's victory over The Rays will lift the players and they will enjoy their day off before the big series in Boston.I know we have a depleted rotation, but then so have Boston, and so it should be all about hitting in my opinion, though I will be happy if our starters can continue in the pitching vein they have been in.Especially Ivan and Phil and Hiroka.Freddy hopefully will keep the Red Sox at bay until the BP can step in.Then we have the AS break, and we will go into it with a good lead in the Divisional race. The cats are fine Maria.Inky is keeping his appetite up and Molly is keeping aloof as usual, and Kitt is racing around keeping us all on our toes.Hugs to Dharma and Booda and to you and yours Maria.xxxxxxxxxJohn,Sue and Inky,Molly and of course young Kitt.xxxxxxxxx

The weather is brutal here as well. I am hoping that this isn't what we will be facing for the rest of the summer, stengelese. The temperatures here will also be moderating next week into the mid to high 80s. That will be a 10-15 degree difference. It will feel like a breath of fresh air lol

The only thing I can be thankful for so far is that the humidity isn't very high! It must be like living in Arizona :)

Kim, are you having trouble staying cool in this heat?

Kim: Oh no. I am just a cool girl. Ask Stengelese!

I am sorry to hear about the deluges, John. I hope they aren't affecting your area. And you are right...this weather won't last forever. I guess it is the price we pay for having such a mild winter in the mid-Atlantic states lol

I am hoping our Andy will heal quickly John. I am surprised in a good way that Joba seems to be recovering faster than expected.

Booda and Dharma are doing well. Booda is still a goof ball and Dharma is one smart cookie :)

We are lucky here in the South side of the City of Birmingham,as the area we live in is higher than other areas, and so we do not suffer the fate other parts go through.I saw Andy in the Yankees dugout in the series in Tampa, and I bet he lifts the spirits of the other players whilst he is there.I hope he heals, and that he comes back as good as he was before. That would be awesome Maria.Hugs to you.And of course to Dharma and Booda.L.John.xxxx
