What a gem last night by Phil Hughes. It shows he is learning from his mistakes, and he seems trustworthy in that he does not panic when he has men on base.I am afraid I wonder why Joe G is using Corey Wade so much,it must be obvious to anyone that Corey is having a really bad month, and he still keeps on using him on such a regular basis.I think he needs a rest and another pitcher can step in for him until he gets his location back on his pitches. But overall the Yankees were again brilliant.I shall be watching the game live here as it is an afternoon game start time(1p.m)Here it will be six o'clock in the evening.I hope Andy can bounce back like Phil did.Andy has been a real tonic for the team, his attitude seems to lift the players.Well my friend I hope you have a good day.Lets Go Andy.Lets Go Yankees......John.

Hello John, We won again. Last night Phil was playing Dr.Jekyll...sometimes he becomes Mr. Hyde. But he is mostly good and gives us the wins which we need. I'm glad he bounced back from his last poor start. His location was well, and his stuff was good. Hopefully he continues pitching like that.
Tonight game starts here at 8 PM...of course I'll be watching too.
The existance of Andy affected the team completely.
Every day we are putting a little distance against our division rivals.
We are leading the division, and we'll never look back again.
Let's sweep Indians today John.
++++vibes to you and yours, my friend++++

Today, I beleive Andy will give us another win.
Every day we are drawing away from our division rivals.
We are leading the division, and we'll never look back again.
Lets sweep the Indians Zen.

Phil did good, uko. I hope our team helps Andy get the win today. Yes, let's sweep the Indians and then on to the White Sox!

We are putting some distance between us and the other teams in the AL East. Just goes to show that baseball has a long season and anything can happen. Looking at this board even a month ago, one would think the season was over for the Yankees ;-)

++++++++++VIBES+++++++++++ FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, MY FRIEND :)

You were right about Phil, John. He did good!

I am happy that Inky is enjoying life...cats know that secret...no matter what, just enjoy the moment. And I am happy that you and Sue have this time with him. Our pets are very special to us .

This morning, Dharma and Booda were upstairs looking very suspicious. I said to them, "What are you two up to?" They looked at each other for about 20 seconds (like they were communicating) and then got these angelic looks on their faces and walked away together. Uh oh. I am not sure what I might find later when I get home lol

They are such a delight though. They have added so much to the household, especially for my husband who is retired and has been dealing with illness. These two keep him hopping and keep him company. I made a wise decision when I decided to bring them home.

I hope all is going well for you, Sue and the kitty cats, John :)

That business with Dharma and Booda is exactly the same we have with our three, they look so angelic and yet you know they have been up to some mischief. But you cannot be cross with them, can you?I am so glad that your husband finds them a help in his retirement and his illness.I am in the same position as your husband as you may know, and so I think you understand what the bond is between our cats and both of us.Hugs to you all,and extra hugs to Dharma and Booda. As for Phil last night,it was so good to see him get through their line-up.The game was only 2hrs 47 minutes long as against some of the games between us and the Red Sox,which can last nearly four hours for a nine inning game.Today Andy will make sure that the first inning collapse in his last start will be overcome and he is that sort of person,he works hard and trys to overcome any faults in his mechanics and location of his pitches.I am looking forward to watching him pitch,as I am sure you and many others are too.Bye for now dear friend.L.John and Sue and the three angelic souls.xxxx

Well my friend it looks as though a few players are going to have to step up big time over the next sevral weeks.A great win once more, but overshadowed by C.C and more seriously Andy's inury.I thought Freddy looked very sharp,it was as though he knew he was needed to get the win coming out of the BP.He will start Monday and Adam Warren will start this Friday. As Maria would say we need healing vibes throughout the Yankees club.Tonight Ivan goes to the hill andthe CWS counter with a pitcher I have not heard of before called Axelrod.I doubt any of our Yankees have seen him either. As long as Ivan keeps it close we can win,of that I am sure.As you would say,not a step backwards.Have a good day my friend.........John.

You are right John. It was a bittersweet win. We lost two pitchers in one day, but big teams always find a way to roll through. I beleive Garcia can handle CC's two starts. I hope Warren can do the Job. But now, the offense must step forward and carry the load. I'm certain that we'll overcome these claudy days. Remember, 'every cloud has a silver lining'.
Today, I'm expecting a strong outing from Nova.
We are leading the division, and we'll never look back again.
Let's win today, John.
++++vibes to you and yours, my friend++++

Good morning Maria.I will not mention last nights game as the board has been full of it for ages.I was disappointed like many of us were and more so for Ivan and Dave Robertson,as Dave cannot do it each and every time.He has plenty of credit in his account as far as I am concerned. But there is a ray of sunshine in all that went on yesterday,we could have gained a game on ALL the other A.L.East teams. So the cloud that has a silver lining was that ALL the teams in the A.L.East lost yesterday for the first time ALL season so far.So our Yankees have NOT lost any ground at all.How is that for a POSITIVE Maria?Tonight is a big time in Adam Warren's career and he is doing it in front of all those fans in Yankee Stadium. Here is wishing him well and also I hope our bats can give him some good run support.I am looking for an outing of six innings from him and then HOPEFULLY our BP can go the rerst of the way.I bet he is excited?Well a busy day here today,we need a new gas cooker and Sue and I are going out later to buy one.Hope your day goes well our good friend.Hugs to you all.L.John.xxxx

Not a good two day my friend.Lets us hope Hiroka can pitch another gem and that Peavy does not.Chin up though as we hope to have one of our starters back after the AS break.CWS are a good hitting team and ALL of our pitchers need to locate their pitches better than they did last night.I wish Girardi would NOT keep putting Wade into close games,as they soon become blowouts,as last night indicated. The hitters become frustrated when they see a close game wasted by the same pitcher who for the past month has been giving up runs in each of his last six outings. He needs to be sent down and hope he can regain his early season form.Lets Go Yankees.........John.

Hello John, Kuroda was perfect. Casman made correct moves today and take Logan just in time. I think most of the Soriano's saves are real adventure (except today). Someday a fan will have a heart attack while watching him.
We'll overcome all these difficulties. But I begin to worry if Warren is the best pitcher in our farm system. What happened to our killer B's?
I beleive Phil will succeed tomorrow.
Nonetheless, we are still leading the division and not looking back.
++++best wibes to you and yours, my friend++++

Good Morning my good friend.Yes Hiroka pitched a real gem of a game and the BP did it's job.I expect that we are thinking some of these guys in the minors are going to be the next Ace ,but it does not work that way,or at least very rarely.I think Washington's star pitcher is an exception to that rule though. But maybe in two years or three we may have one or two of those guys in the minors piutching at the major league level.Look at our Ivan Nova. What a diamond we found in him.Phil is going this afternoon and hopoefully he will continue his good pitching.I think Maria must be in New York watching one or two of these games against the CWS.I shall post her tomorrow.Enjoy the game today my friend. All the best to you and yours............John.

Hello John, Good win yesterday, and Phil was excellent. Now, two great and very important series are on the road. I hope we win both of them. We are playing better then Rays and RS.
Today, Garcia will take the mound. I'm expecting a strong outing from him.
Unfortunately I wil not watch the game. I'll be on the road to south, to my summer place for 2-3 months. Of course I'm taking my laptop with me, but it takes 3-4 days to obtain an internet line there.
Let's beat the Rays John.
We are leading the division, and we'll never look back again.
My best wishes to you and yours, my friend.

Hi John, I didn't get to see the games since we lost power after a terrible storm. We just got it back early this morning!

I hope you, Sue and the kitties are doing well :)

Let's take this series with Tampa!

Hi Maria.Another wet morning here in Birmingham.I hope that you have not had more storms where you live?Freddy Pitched well last night I thought, and he only gave up two runs in his outing. That is much better than when he started the last time. The other teams lost in the A.L.East yesterday, except of course for the Rays. But we have Ivan on the hill tonight, and though Shields pitches well at home, hopefully our bats will score enough runs for a win.Have a good day Maria.Hugs to you all.L.John and everyone here.xxxxxxxxx
