I like coaches that don't break rules multiple times. I'd probably take Bill Self.

He is honest with his players, Uthoff is no longer his player, but it's not like he's lying to him or something.

Bill Self hasn't broken rules?

Ask Illinois fans about that.

Bo is getting skewered and rightfully so.

Not like Calipari. He's on another level with his rule breaking. 2 final fours of his have already been vacated, how many more to come?

Marcus Camby took money from an agent. I guess Calipari should have killed both and UMass could have kept the banner.

And at Memphis, they "lost" their banner over Derrick Rose's SAT score being invalidated, a claim Rose still argues to this day.

I like Buzz. I would be disappointed if any scandal ever came out with him.

Bo was getting ripped this morning on Mike and Mike. I still don't understand why he feels the need to do this, this is one player. They brought up Brust and how hypocritical this all is of Bo. I could maybe understand the Big 10 but still stupid, but the ACC? come on.

It's just not him. It's all coaches who are doing this. It's a ridiculous rule.

The conference/state restriction makes sense. The others don't. Schools can dump kids. That's why there's been pressure on football schollies to be four year, not one-year renewable.

Bo folds.

I understand he was <pissed that the kid acted like a coward and wouldn't directly tell Bo himself, but if a coach can leave at any time with no restrictions, so can the kids. The kid is still a <pussy for not fessing up to Bo first.

According to the local media, it was all part of the "process".

That explains his appearance on Mike and Mike defending the blocks.

Coaches will never win this battle. Tulsa's AD is pulling the same stunt. What makes his decision worse is they have a new coach. There's no worry about what some idiots are calling the "wild west" if kids can transfer wherever. They still have to sit out a year. That's punitive enough.

It is silly to see some people calling Uthoff a quitter. Wonder if they called Sharif Chambliss that? Or Danny O'Brien who quit his "family".

He's not a quitter, he's just a puss for not going to Ryan outright. You can't hold an 18 year old to their decision about something as big wear to play college ball. I'm 30 and my wife can't even trust me to check her oil routinely.

"And at Memphis, they "lost" their banner over Derrick Rose's SAT score being invalidated, a claim Rose still argues to this day."

They couldn't prove that that Rose didn't take it. They lost the banner because Reggie Rose was traveling with the team for free. Shame on Calipari for looking out for his players. Derrick wanted Reggie to be with him to keep agents away.

"Bill Self hasn't broken rules?

Ask Illinois fans about that."

What did Bill Self do?

I remember when he said earlier this month that he didn't want Robinson to come back and no one cared. Yet when Calipari said that he doesn't want players coming back that are NBA ready the media had a field day.

Self is just like Calipari, new school and can put together one <hell of a team that is worth watching.

There were recruits who couldn't get into Illinois because of grades who magically made it into Kansas.

Brandon Rush recruiting page

http://rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecruiting/basketball/recruiting/player-Brandon-Rush-15641

Scroll down to the bottom and this is what you see

"It is finally official. Brandon Rush, the No. 13 ranked player in the class of 2005, has been officially cleared academically by the NCAA Clearinghouse and will play for the Kansas Jayhawks this season."

LOL

Him or Collins, I believe.

It's not a shot at Self. I like Self more than Calipari but it's not like there aren't some questions. There are at every major program.

John Wooden's UCLA teams? Yup. Definitely bag men there.
