Well Maria,we got the win,but sadly Andy did not.But I bet you he was one of those in the melee at HP right after Russell hit the WO HR.And the fact that Raphael; blew the save should not mean he has not got the stuff,because he has,and he has some pass marks for what he has done already.I was VERY impressed with Boone Logan,to come in with runners on first and third with one out and to do what he did says a lot about him.Well done Boone.And no praise is too much for what a day Russell had at the plate.I was so pleased for him.Now we move on to Atlanta and hopefully Ivan will be the star tonight,but I will settle for another win Maria.Hugs to you and Booda and Dharma.L John.xxxxx

Hi Maria.Our cats are the same when we have been away for some hours,and they tend not to let us out of their sight for a while anyway.A bit of sad news Maria. :¬( We believe our eldest cat Inkie is blind.We are not going to put him through another trip and examination at the vets surgery,as he gets very upset when we took him only three months ago to have his nails cut and for him to be given his first dose of steroids for his arthritis.He is following us around very closely and tends not to react to hands and movements right in front of him.But he seems quite happy to follow us and he chats to the other cats and we think they know he is not able to see.His eyes are not cloudy,but we just know Maria.We will not let him suffer and if we think for one minute that he is in any pain whatsoever,we will take him to our vets for his final journey,and then bring him home to join our other beloved cats in our garden.Enough sad talk.A great result as you said Maria last night,and tonight we hopefully will see C.C pitch as we know he can.I have faith in him,as we have relied on him since he came to us.We soon will have Dave Robertson back in the BP,and that will be worth waiting for.Glad summer has arrived Maria.Hugs to all.....L.John and Sue and Inky,Molly and kitt.xxxxx

I am sorry to hear about Inkie, John. Just one thought...could the steroids have affected his vision? I would ask the vet just to see what he says.

Another great pitching performance by our Yankees and another great performance by Hiroka.He is the real deal and has been since he came to the Yankees.I loved it when Curtis hit that 2run HR off Tim Hudson.He had the Yankees number when he pitched for Oakland,so it was nice for our Yankees to have his number last night.Our BP is pitching lights out as well,and Cody Eppley has surprised me with his maturity,and Boone has also given me a shot in the arm with his relief appearances.A day of rest today Maria.I need it myself,get ready for the Nats on Friday.I believe it will be tight series,but we have dodged their ace and we get their number two Gio Gonzalez instead.Lets Go Yankees....Hugs to you Maria.L.John.xxxx

Yes we won another close one last night. The team is doing good, John :) The Nats gave us trouble when we played them a few years ago. I think they won two out of three, so we can't let our guard down. Let's win this series.

Inkie is well Maria.We phoned the vet and she said that as the steroids wear off that he should get more of his vision back,and lo and behold we did some tests this morning and he seems to be reacting to various movements from us.Let us hope this continues..:¬)As for the Nationals,they have been a revalation so far this year.We will have to work hard and hope that our starting pitching is on form as they have been so far.Hugs to you and yours and extra hugs to Dharma and Booda...L.John and Sue and the cats.xxxxxxxxxx
