The Big Ten and Marquette restriction I can see, but the ACC and Iowa State restrictions don't make any sense. Bo has always been against transfers, though. He was against the whole Russell Wilson thing and probably DOB too.

He's getting skewered nationally and rightfully so. He also burned some bridges with his AAU coach which will be a larger issue.

I've always thought it was ridiculous to restrict where a player can transfer. It's not like coaches always uphold their end of the deal when it comes to scholorships, coaches take scholorships away all the time, sometimes due to injury and sometimes when a player doesn't live up to the hype. Why shouldn't a player be able to transfer and play somewhere else if he wants?

players always have to keep their commitment, unless they're transfering to your school or they get hurt or haven't lived up to the expectations.

The state press is defending him, of course saying he would only take transfers he recruited. So...why block Uthoff from Virginia then?

Kentucky can recruit itself. But I really wouldn't put it past Calipari to be doing something he shouldn't. He's had final fours erased at his previous 2 schools.
