I believe it was BJ Rains who tweeted tonight that Beltran is actually getting paid more than Albert this year and also outproducing him. I find that very funny. If he cant even live up to his $12mil paycheck this year what will it be like when he is getting paid $27-30mil on the back end of that deal
But this is the stat that I love the most

- I thought it was all about winning?
Albert Pujols through 12 games in 2011 - .229/.296/.313/.609 with 1 HR, 6 RBI
Albert Pujols through 12 games in 2012 - .265/.308/.347/.655 with 0 HR, 4 RBI
Albert Pujols, before age 30 (2001-2009) - .334/.427/.628/1.055
Albert Pujols, since age 30 (2010-2012) - .304/.388/.560/.947
The important stat is what someone said earlier: Cardinals are 9-3! That's a great start.
Craig is supposed to be out a while yet, apparently.
I'm fine with letting Carp2 cover for Berkman--we can see how legit he'll actually be, or if this was just a flash in the pan. When Craig, Berkman, et al are 100%, one of those guys is going to have to go somewhere.
