Why Jackson? He got on base once more than Young or Peralta and didn't give up any runs.

He finally got on base in his 5th AB. He needs to get on more often for miggy and prince, plus he left as many on base as anyone else. They need to score more runs.

<<Inge (bad play in the field and at the plate)>>

In the field, I agree, but he did get a double and scored a run. He's looked pretty bad at 2B so far though. I never thought I'd say this, but he probably shouldn't be playing 2B over Raburn. He's bobbled a number of balls since he's been playing there.

Cabrera's also hitting a little better than Inge. It's easier to overlook an error if you're not hitting .100.

H: Avila

G: Peralta

Miggy was offensive hero, but his defense kept him from getting my vote.
Peralta never got on base and his combined lack of range with Miggy's is part of a big infield hole.

**By the way - this is my favorite thread on the board. A++ to Atlanta man.

I gotta go......

H: Avila
G: Scherzer

Nice to see Alex hit one, hopefully the bat will come around some. Drew us close.

Scherzer gives up lead-off walks in the 1st & 3rd. Lead off single in the 5th. They all scored, and led to five of the seven runs they collected. Nite of more than a couple goats, but it started with Max. (and again, glad I didn't start him in the Roto :)

By the vote in the Max game Tuse nite, Avila edged out Miggy by one.

Last nite I was getting ready to settle in. Went to get a pizza, listened to Avila ground out in the first. Then the blow up of Wilk, to turn it into a 6 zip game. That's all I needed to hear. (listing in the parking lot of Benito's) May have been a hero. That's the kind of game that don't deserve one.

Watched the DVD of Sherlock Holmes instead. :)

Hero: Raburn. 2 for 3, sac bunt, RBI. Average now up to .128! He's getting hot folks!
Goat: Porcello. Blame the bats, but 5 ERs from your starter is usually gonna get you a loss.

I saw just the last three innings, but with Boesch's heroic effort on Figgins' "double" in the top of the seventh and his great at-bat in the bottom, it's hard for me to see how anyone else could be the goat.

Hero: Cabbie
Goat: EASY! Boesch. That was a disgraceful at bat and an even worse play in the field.

I retract that. The at bat WAS worse then the fielding play.

Hero: Cabby

Goat: Boesch I agree both plays were horrible. He turns a routine flyball into a double, then has an EASY walk and swings at a pitch a foot and a half outside and in the dirt.
