"when D-Jack is motivated and on top of his game, who is more electrifying? "
The question is, will he be motivated? We'll just have to wait and see. Some say that now he getting paid more he'll play his hardest, but it could easily be said that now that he has his money he doesn't need to work that hard anymore. It's very hard to get a good read on the character that Jackson has.
He is an electrifying player, but he needs to be a consistent one. He can't just be the deep threat, that can get canceled out by deep drop coverage. He's gotta be the deep threat, the crossing route threat, the quick screen threat, the receiver who is blocking down field, the misdirection route that gets all eyes on him even though he won't be getting the ball....
It's been some time since he's been all of those things. He may be more talented than Maclin, but Maclin is a complete player. DeSean wanted to get his money, and now that he has it, he has to be that complete player.
