Since the start of the season, its has either been Morse or Espinosa powering the runs.
Setting the pace, providing leadership.....even when they appeared to struggle with their swings,
they have each been able to diagnose and correct their problems.

That is a true sign of natural talent. We are fortunate to have them here and I fear we'd better enjoy
them while they are here, because there is huge amount interest from around the league in both.

Awesome that they are both Washington Nationals, and we are Nationals fans.

Are you listening, Mr. Werth?

True enough. But the game ain't over.

Why is it that when we are in this close of a game, we pull it out, but when we have a huge lead we give it up??

In low scoring games, our core players like Morse, Espi, now Zimms and occasionally Bernie, power
us through to wins.

But in the those games where we have substantial leads, the gaps in our lineup, especially at bat and
certain pitchers on our staff aren't able to contribute. We have a couple of pitchers that can't close
the door, and several hitter that are anything but.

NATS RULE!!!

I love the strategies in baseball...

You take a slugger like Espinosa, and ask him bunt over your lead off runner to second and let your power sluggers drive in the run...elementary and a thing of beauty.

Are you listening Mr. Werth?

It's so simple a CAVEMAN could do it!!!!

OK.....JASON WERTH AT THE PLATE.....

He takes the first two pitches for an 2-0 count, swings and misses at the 3rd. Now its 3-1 on a ball.
Werths takes a strike at the kness for a full count....The wind up and the pitch?????

He takes it for a ball 4!!! WOW.......Talk about OBP! JW in the house!
