No-hit this year?
A pitcher from the Os had a no-no for six innings against them and that same pitcher lost to a JuCo team in Spring Training!
A JuCo team beat him and he stifled the JuCo Twins

Did he get the no hitter?

There are a lot of almost no hitters, but almost doesn't count does it.

As usual the Twins fans miss the point and can't take off their blinders

A JuCo team beat him and a semi-MLB team couldn't.

As usual a troll comes on board talking about no hitters and doesn't know what he is talking about looking like a fool.

BTW the Twins AA team almost beat the ML Twins before the season starts. Who cares...

The point that was made earlier by another poster was that the Twins had a good chance to get no hit this year and not put a ball in play. Doesn't sound like it fits into either of your silly little comments does it. Though it may be just as silly.

One day when you quit saluting the Twins flag, take off the blinders, and realize that this is not a good baseball team then maybe something you say will be worth noting. Until then you can go ahead and keep slobbering over mediocre baseball

He has only spent the last few months posting about this team not being very good and started multiple threads saying so. Good try though.

I'm not the troll.

Only two wins separates the Twins from the Brewers.

Well I'm turning in...trolls are like vultures just waiting for something to go wrong so they can come over and rub salt in the wounds. They may want to worry about their own team a bit more...

"HUH ? You think this team is leaving everything there ? You think the core players Mauer taking the 1st pitch and falling behind the count quickly and not adjusting to it is not leaving everything to the field ? When Justin probably knows that he shouldn't be pulling the ball even though its coming to the heart of the plate and just go with the ball with bases loaded when only a base hit up the middle gets two men in ? When Perkins loses his cool in his consecutive outings and not learning from his previous mistakes is leaving everything on the field ? "

You have articulated my views precisely. What was amusing was reading those posters calling for putting Perkins into the closer role. It was just a couple years ago he was sent down for his pathetic attitude. It was only a matter of time before that showed up again. Just came earlier than I suspected it would.

It's so painfully obvious that no coach in this organization has a clue how to correct Liriano's problems, so why has he been kept around...why has his agent not seen he needs to go elsewhere for his own benefit if he expects to stay in the bigs.

Thankfully the current left fielder has shown his prowess at hitting the long ball. Mebbe it will stop all this gobbledygook about the field being too big to hit HRs. (It's also nice to see nobody focusing on his 'Delmon' style of handling left field.) But as long as Morneau continues to over-stride and step in the bucket, he'll need some unreal mistake from a pitcher like he got the other day, or he'll be a long time between long balls.

Like you, nothing boils my blood more than watching Mauer grooming the batters box while taking that first pitch down the middle and never offering. Does he not realize he's in a slump??...and his position in the lineup is usually reserved for "hitters" not batters working the pitcher for a walk. The 3 hitter is supposed to be HITTING and driving in runs with RISP. Move up in the box...swing at the first pitch...do anything that might indicate you are attempting something different. How much worse could it get?

Regardless of what Vavra sez he does, it's time to get a batting coach that's been in the batters box, that can tell ANY member of this team how they might try to help themselves. Someone on the order of a Don Baylor type, that can possibly develope some swings that might just increase the HR ratio in that ballpark...and mebbe even help on the road.

Fans have the right to BOO player performance. Period.

If a player is a slug for a prolonged period of time and said player is getting paid TONS of money then BOO if you want to I say. I frankly can't go to many games being that I live a 1,000 miles away. I said I would give Joe a 'mulligan' for last year, but he is on a short leash with me. If this continues much longer and I am at a game this summer I just may BOO Mauer. Heck, if he is hitting .270 with 2 or 3 HRs a month from now???

In that scenario I would hope he gets BOOed. The fans at the ballpark have been very patient, imo. The dude needs to start earing his money.

I never boo, not my style.

But do the fans have the right to boo? No doubt. If they are paying for the tickets, as long as they are not violent towards the athlete, either verbally (racial slurs for example) or physically, I don't see whats wrong with displaying your displeasure. I have gone to plenty of bad movies, in fact, I enjoy doing so. People there at the theater boo or talk trash about the movies if they are poor, but they paid for the tickets, so they can do that. The only difference is the actors and directors are not in the theater, but if you are a paying customer, you should be able to say your not happy with the product presented to you.

Mauer doesn't seem to acknowledge what's going on and it frustrates me. He said this about the upcoming series:

"You're going to have to face them sometime," Twins catcher Joe Mauer said. "It's a tough part of our schedule. We might as well see them early."

Same exact thing they said last season. Let's just get it out of the way.....

Then he said this, which bothers me:
Mauer said. "Guys are hitting the ball hard and at people and things like that. But you've just got to keep plugging away."

Guys are hitting the ball hard at people? What about you, Joe? How much longer does he intend on playing pepper with the 2B and SS?? He's killed more rallies with his meek approach than just about anyone--outside of Morneau.

It's like Groundhog's Day with this team ever since the playoffs in 2010.

I cannot imagine this team winning a game in this series. In fact, I will miss most of it tonight because I am taking the woman to the movies. My thought process being maybe I should try something different because I have watched just about every inning over every Twins-Yankees game for the last 10 years and have suffered because of it~!.

"Fans have the right to BOO player performance. Period."

...and if you read what I posted you will see that it is up to the fan to make that decision to boo or not (which I include as complaining). I don't and that is my decision. You boo that's your choice...oh...Period.

Believe it or not I have NEVER booed a Twins player, but I tell you what.....I just might this summer.

If Mauer continues to play this way he deserves to be BOOed, imo.

I booed Ron Davis once...it was actually the first time (I ever booed) and the last. I thought about it afterwards and through out my own experiences had the realization that like it or not he was trying to do his job and I feel that most players don't want to fail. So my approach was changed to support the players no matter how ugly it gets. That doesn't mean I won't cuss under my breath...it just means I try to be more supportive of what they are going through.

I did BOO my favorite pitcher(insert sarcasm here) Frankie Liriano. I was watching him have one of his mini-meltdowns. I can put up with a lot, but if you screw up, buck up, accept it and continue doing your job. Seeing him like that was just too much to handle.
