    • Peralta - What a Loser

Peralta certainly looked affected by his lack of pine tar tonight... not.

The Nats are only good because they lucked into just happening to have the worst record in baseball the two years the best two talents in a generation were available. And before you say anything about the Rays, most of their homegrown talent is comprised of players who were not first round picks.

Awesome job by the Nats, though. Zero hits and one baserunner after the first inning against a rookie who has always had control issues. You had your best against a rookie making his big league debut and were lucky to win. If the Rays were healthy, you wouldn't even be able to compete.

Couldn't have expressed it better myself, thank you!

One other thing, to Steve Duemig at WDAE after his diatribe today ripping Peralta and Maddon.............Bite me!!

Then again other than a poster on here with a 1000 names, Duemig is the biggest Maddon hater there is!

"If the Rays were healthy, you wouldn't even be able to compete."

The Nats are missing nearly a fourth of our projected roster, including two of our starting position players and our closer, so don't start crying to us about injuries. No chance you guys win tonight with Gonzo on the mound.

this morning the Redsox are half a game out of last place. Congrats. Redsux are by far the laughing stock of the AL East. Most of their players wish they were way too far from fenway. Youkillis has the ugliest style in all of baseball. It was ok when he produced but now he looks silly. A cycle is a series of steriods shots. Youkillis could use a cycle. Yep see you in three years. I already know we won't be seeing you in a world series. I doubt you all even make the playoffs this year. Talk about a team playing over their head.

Just remember which team wins this series, the Nats, put our starters against yours and the Rays have no shot.

When are they going to announce the cheater's suspension? It seems fair that since the Nats were the ones to catch him that we should benefit by playing a 24 man roster tonight.

Shows how much you know. I have already projected it, using the guys that would be starting they have a .285 avg against Gonzalez. OBP is somewhere around .370. Just look what we have done thus far with a .240 average.

2010 Opening Day we already had him give up the save once. I understand the Nats have a new reliever and you all are excited but how did Brad Lidge work out for you all. Not even going to mention the Nats were the only team willing to sign a burned out closer.

The Nats are a last place team if placed in the AL East.

Put your starters against ours. You sure you want to do that son? We just had a rookie come up for his major league debut and dominate your lineup.

We have an excess of No. 1 and 2 starters. We had to put Wade Davis in the bullpen because we ran out of room!

Just realized you were talking of Gio Gonzalez, you said closer. I just remembered the days of Mike G. closing.

In 16.2 innings pitched vs the Rays... 9 Runs, 9 ER,. ERA of 4.85, with a 1-1 record. The one win was in 2008 when the Rays went to the World Series. How many times have the Nats even been to the playoffs since moving? None? Oh yeah right, but you all have finished last plenty of times.

This is all too funny. I mean, I can take Red Sox or Yankees trolls because they have some numbers and history that they can fall back on. But seriously, a Nats troll? No winning record ever in Washington, and the only history comes from Montreal.

And, keep in mind, that this is the third installment of MLB in the D.C. area.

Just face it. Most of the Boston bandwagon fan base only knows what Fenway looks like through Field of Dreams. Place is a dump.

Fenway does have history, but it is a dirty, filthy, smelly dump. The place smells like a urinal and the clubhouses for the teams are smaller than some high schools. They also have the smallest and lowest dugouts in MLB and Niemann has whacked his head a few times, as I'm sure other players have.......It is a DUMP!

He who has the first laugh is usually the last one to realize he is the Joke.....What a great Sports town Washington DC is..They accept cheating when its done on their team, but once a player leaves their team its against the rules...But they have a great tradition to uphold.. They haven't won anything since George Washington died...

Wow. Mature. So, as opposed to sticking to the actual topic, you go on what appears to be a 14 year old's tirade about another team. Cool.
