I think his bad pitches were fastballs too. I think he threw two or three pitchers that weren't fastballs.
Motte seems most effective when he rolls the other team quickly. I'd have liked to seen him pulled after the long AB. That's not a knock against him, just that it's probably not fair to expect him to throw a 30-pitch inning of 98-99 m.p.h. heat.
Ideally I'd have liked to see Garcia stay out. He was cruising, and his pitch count was still low.

prior to last night, he had had 2 1-2-3 innings and never gave up more than 1 baserunner in any outing
Last night was his first bad game, but everybody blows saves, its only his first blown save in 4 tries
izzy was one of the best closers is Cardinals history despite what many believe in him and even he only had a 85% save rate
only the absolute top closers in the league even have a 90% save rate
