I was at that game too but I was sitting behind the Rays bullpen. The guys from the Rays bullpen threw some gum up to some guys sitting in the first row. Later in the game they gave a baseball to this one guy who wouldn't leave them alone.

LOL, yeah, don't even bother. Luis Perez doesn't throw baseballs unless it's over a plate.

Not out of the woods yet. I hope it remains nothing, but sometimes these things linger and become problematic; look at Pineda.

It's a pretty sweet luxury having a guy with 300 career saves as our "backup" closer. I'll stick with Cordero. Perez is awesome where he is, though there may be occasions for him to pitch the 9th anyway if the matchups are right or if Cordero has pitched in too many games.

NO structural damage is good news... the better news is that he is going to have a tuneup before they let him back on the mound. He has got a great out pitch but he needs some work on his mechanics...me makes Drabek 2011 look like a ballet dancer.

I disagree. He is doing a great job right now and should stay there. The Jays have Cordero, who has experience in that role, to fall back on.

the question is what do we do with Santos when he comes back? If Coco is pitching effectively do they swap roles? Do you ease Santos back into the closer role? or does he get it back right away? I'm interested to see what direction the Jays take with this.

<If I had a dime for every fuck Luis Perez has given, I wouldn't have a god damn dime!

I don't recall that... wouldn't surprise me though. I know a girl who claimed she slept with Arencibia
