I know. I was being a wise-guy. But when I saw Giants and East that's what came to mind.

The NFL draft is next weekend. I think the first day is over already for me.

Back on topic. This is something I was thinking about earlier and Napoli's home run in his ,is it 5th or 6th, straight game just now emphasizes it. With Napoli becoming a free agent as well and obviously going to command a big contract that has to factor in to what the Rangers would offer Josh. They could be looking at five players accounting for half their payroll.

Hamilton needs to prove that he can go an entire season without spending significant time on the DL

In 2008 he played in 156 games and came in 7th in the MVP vote.
In 2010 he played in 133 games and won the AL MVP.

Proof enough?

I think marhobo said it best about the Rangers FO. I heard Nolan answer a question concerning resigning Josh and it basically sounded like they have a certain dollar amount already set and if Josh wants anything more then he's gone. Nolan is big on avoiding overpaying and bad contracts.

I think the Kinsler signing sends a very good message. "We want you and we'll pay you but don't get ridiculous." I hope Josh and Napoli will both accept reasonable offers and remain Rangers.

Yankees can't afford Hamilton. They have to cut payroll to be under the luxury tax in 2 years or they will be penalized big time.

Maybe you should look into the new CBA and see that the Yankees need to cut payroll big time.

And Selig doesn't care who plays for the Yankees.

You have to stop using facts to Cardinals fans. They live in a world similar to the Angels fans.
