we dont want to fall in that "there good against us, so lets get 'em'" mentality ..but he did look impressive against a lineup that just scored 14 runs the day before.

Yanks are not about to trade starting pitching, they're looking to add in that catagory with injuries to CC and Petitte. There are starter available, but Kuroda is not one of them.

Extremely impressive!

Rios,(whose been on fire) Konerko and much of our offense for that matter, were kept completely off balance at the plate.
IMO, Sox offense just met their match yesterday, in the form of Hiroki Kuroda.

It looked like the right handed batters weren't seeing the ball well. Lots of funny swings and half swings

Our hitters couldn't lay off the pitches out of the zone. Why throw strikes where someone can hit them? Specially if you have these guys who leave their patience in the dugout when they come up to bat.

True some in our offensive lineup might have been a bit amped up after the last two games, but Kuroda had that ball on a string - starting in the zone, ending outside the zone.
You take, it's in the zone. You swing, it's outside the zone. Some of our guys were looking worse, rather than better, in their 2nd/3rd ABs.

Interesting pattern of late- a guy has a 3.08 era and the Sox get 3 hits off him. A guy has a 2.66 and they get two hits. I'm confused.

That and pretty much everything was off the plate. The Sox obviously had a swing first mentality going into the game. Maybe they figured he'd be doing nothing but throwing strikes.
