Re: the FB% that Bryce sees - this isn't atypical for most rookies, and particularly for those that generate long, torque-driven swings like Bryce does.
For a 19 year-old, his approach at the plate is still silly good. He's swinging at a lot of pitches outside the zone, and making less-than-average contact on pitches in the zone. The fact that he's still producing at this level is a testament to how truly talented Bryce is.
Again, per my article, Bryce's BB% is better than league average, and prior to this season, he had a mere ~300 AB in AA/AAA. Hard to fathom he's only 19. Jeez...
