There's more talent at AA than AAA. He's an organizational guy.

I noticed he has been very good and consistant with low walks compared to Familia. Why was he not on the radar?

I think he will get promoted soon maybe by June. If Hefner is going pitch well and they keep him at the major level, they are going to promote another pitcher to Triple-A right h=now they are getting by letting organizational guys like Jack Egbert and Dillon Owen start.

But if that rotation spot is going to turn into a long term vacancy they are going to need to fill it with someone legitimate. The logical choice is McHugh: A) He has proved he can pitch well double-a B) He has the most experience out of the Double-A pitchers (I think they will give Wheeler longer at double-a).

Post promotion if he pitches well in Buffalo, I can see it being like Schwinden last year year he would make September cameo (hopefully with different results).

I think they like to do promotions for the most part around mid-season. The affiliates get to have some sense of stability and players get to put down a body of work at a level to mark their progress.

Minor Leagues moves I would like to see within the next few weeks to month..

Colin McHugh to Buffalo (Edgar Ramirez to Binghamton)
Matt den Dekker to Buffalo (Dustin Martin our right release)

Wilmer Flores to Binghamton (Travis Ozga to St. Lucie)

T. J. Rivera to St. Lucie.

Not an exact science because rosters need to be altered as: Bay, Thole, Tejada, Beato, Young and Meija go throughout the system with their rehab stints

Alex Panteliodis to St. Lucie from Savannah.

I'd also be inclined to move Corey Vaughn up to Binghamton. I know he's been slumping, but I think a change a scene might be good for him. He doesn't seem to like the Florida heat.

i was thinking Vaughn he has just been so cold. he would be the natural choice to move to double-a as den dekker went to Buffalo though.. Hopefully he can get it going withing the next few weeks.

You're right about Pantelidis I was thinking of him to St. Lucie and then Huchingchon to Binghamton

vaughn has been cold since he got promoted to high A ball last year. 63 games in 2011, 40 games in 2012. thats not cold. thats just not good and no where near ready to be promoted. except for power, nothing to be positive about.

He was actually hitting .290ish only a few weeks ago but his average his dipped 50+ plus points because this slump has been so bad. So he had a good start to his St. Lucie campaign in 2012. So to say he has been cold his entire time in St. Lucie is just looking at overall stats as of today and not gamelogs as the season went on.

Yeah, I think he hit 4-5 hrs in a week or so. Then he was off a week for personal reasons and the slump started shortly thereafter.

I could be wrong, but I have a theory he just needs to get out of St. Lucie's heat.

about 3 weeks ago he had perhaps the most impressive numbers of anyone in A+ ball, finishing in the top 5-10 in the PSL in nearly every offensive category

since then he has been mired in an ike davis-esque slump that have completely destroyed his overall numbers (particularly batting ave)
