No worse than this one. Rebuilding means bad years. Get over it.

Clevenger is the starting catcher.
Mather will be gone.
I think Soriano is gone.

We can win 75 game next year with Rizzo here all season and Volstads 0-7 record off the books.

I understand that it takes some common sense and some people here lack that, but did it happen to cross your mind that maybe if/when the Cubs do trade Garza and Dempster that they will be getting young pitchers who are MLB ready or close to it in return?

How 'bout we wait and see who will actually be on the team next season before we start making predictions?

Doesn't anyone understand the concept of rebuilding? Geez.

I'm sure they'll close the upper deck and scalpers will be selling tickets for two bits, like you predict every year.

I don't think they will be that bad. Of course, the huge question mark will be pitching. I think they bring in a couple of middle tier FA SP's and hope they have a good first half and hope to flip them and sell high on them next year. Maybe Joe Saunders, Kevin Correia, Kevin Milwood. Ervin Santana is listed as a FA, he might be an interesting choice after a brutal year.
On offense, we will be better if we make no moves. The outfield will be a question mark, we will know more about that after tomorrow. Jackson will be one starter for sure. I think Dejesus will be another one. I think Sori is gone, so who is the third outfielder? I think Nick Swisher makes a lot of sense. He could be stop gap and he could bring value back at a trade deadline.

Dejesus
Castro
Rizzo
Swisher
Jackson
Vitters
Castillo
Barney
Pitcher

That is a pretty good offensive club. If Garza stays and Shark develops...add in Travis Wood and who knows? There is potential there and I like where this team is headed.

Wow, well atleast you came out of the close, white sox fan. So far I don't see the trades making this team much worse.

I don't think I could stomach the Nick Swisher dug out interviews and pies in the face and the whole schtick.
