Thank you sir. Maybe we should just make a rant about the Packers thread.

"Official Packers Rant Thread?"

It would probably be deleted by the mod often.

What are you talking about? Dallas or bust, baby! They all had those cowboy hats on at a chrity event in August. You mean that meaningless pre-season bravado meant nothing? Oh.

He's good at looking at film, that's how he became a coach.

Well then maybe he needs to watch some of the film during halftime. This team is becoming as frustrating to watch as the Brewers. Its like watching Weeks bobble while early season Hoffman is on the mound.

At least the bears lost today. Didn't lose any ground, but still had a lot to gain. -sigh-

In 2005, McCarthy served as offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. His unit, beset by injuries and led by rookie quarterback (top draft pick Alex Smith), finished the season ranked last in the NFL in points scored and yards gained.
McCarthy was interviewed by Packers general manager Ted Thompson on January 8, 2006 and was offered the head coaching position three days later.

See? That just makes sense to let McCarthy call all of the offensive plays.

Thompson missed out big on the 2006 coaches. I can't think of anyone else besides Sean Payton that we could have had, but there were more that would all have been better than McMuffin.

C'mon, McCarthy was voted the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year in 2007.
COACH OF THE YEAR.

I swear that 07 year was such a fluke, everything went right for us that year. Sort of like everything is going wrong for us this year, hmm guess who was qb in 07? lol nah I shouldn't go there.

Am I just being a whiner here, or should that penalty not have been called?

Oh well...even if the Packers got the ball back, they wouldn't have gone for it on 4th down, and Crosby would have choked.

The penalty was wrong and it let the Fins score after they got the ball back. Officiating in the NFL is a joke but as you said, it's not what cost them the game.

It seems like officiating in sports all together has gotten very poor. Maybe replay has set our standards high, but they just seem to be getting increasingly worse.

It's a sad day when soccer officials are getting better reputations than basketball, football, and baseball.

Here is a good profile pic for that DingDongKing guy pretending to be McCarthy.

I just don't get why they waited so long to call it, very annoying. But don't the Packers have another penalty like that this year? I guess they have to be more conscious of where they are, idk. As we talk about Rodgers and his 1-11 record in close games, I wonder how many kicks Crosby have missed that would tie or win the game late.

The frustrating thing about losing close games is how many individual mistakes you can count throughout the game; if only one or two of them were corrected, it would have been a W.

But yes, I'd be surprised if a majority of those games lost were not because of one or two missed Chokeby FG attempts.
