Uhhh...why are you Criticizing Scioscia for his lack of managing the offence when we scored 8 runs today and still lost.

Our offense isn't the problem, our bullpen needs to be fixed or we aren't going anywhere.

Jerry Dipoto needs to find some quality bullpen arms somehow ( I was hopeing he would address it before the trade deadline), and Mike Sciocia needs to learn how to manage a bullpen better.
BTW the old-timers Hawkings and Isringhausing need to stay away from high leverage situations.

Maybe because we went 4 and 6 when we should have been 8-2 or 9-1, I guess you werent watching any of the games, instead of putting the foot on the pedal and trying to add more runs you assume your going to win to lets take Trumbo out so my girlfriend Petey can play, lets play this rookie Romine late into the game allowing him to hit in the 7th against Texas in the 3rd game with the score tied instead of pinch hitting for him and moving Izturis out of second to short and putting Kendrick in at second, or how about sitting Hunter in the first game in Chicago who was smoking hot and play Wells, how well did that work out, lets leave in a reliever in HAWKINS not HAWKINGS to walk the first batter he faces to get shelled, sure its not Scioscias fault the bullpen blows but he mismanages that too..

Mike Scioscia's success in the past came only because of Bud Black, Joe Madden, and Ron Roenicke.

A likely Cy, MVP, ROY, a starting pitching staff unrivaled (on paper) by none, Puljols, Trumbo, Hunter, Morales, 165M dollars spent and 6 lousy games over .500? What is that?! What other manager has ever done so little with so much? And that's not even counting last years September collapse. He has failed miserably for three seasons now.

What a dilemma the FO has though;

They don't want to fire him because if they do he becomes the Dodgers marketing plan for 2013. He won't quit because there's surely a non-compete in that 10 year contract if he does.

The real question is will Arte ultimately put more value on his 165M yearly payroll and the championships he's assembled the talent to earn or worry about creating a marketing coup for the Dodgers with their homecoming queen at the helm for 2013?

IMO Arte should just get it over with, it was a good plan with the 10 year contract to delay the inevitable - but really who cares if he goes to LA besides a Dodger fan doing what they do best living in the past? Is this what the average Angel fan is now - some yesteryear glorifier?

All this winningest manager drivel from the sycophants is laughable, of course he is he's managed more games with more payroll than anyone prior, and 2002 was a decade ago, I was there it was awesome but it's completely irrelavent to TODAY. Scioscia is just not a fit for the way this franchise is built anymore and it shows in the W/L, and has for three years now.

I've been opening the site everyday since April fully expecting to read the news the little feifdom of Mike is over...any day now, just do it Arte.
