Jimbo takes out Benoit for no reason but leaves in Valverde even though he can't throw a strike.

Fire up the bus.

I don't care if this is a win. We won in spite of Leyland.

He's the Les Miles of MLB

It seems that Jimbo pulled Benoit because he was hurt.

That still does't excuse leaving in Valverde however.

Maybe he wasn't looking frazzled as I mentioned in the GDT. Maybe he was grimacing.

Hopefully it involves the legs or back and not anything about the arm.

Didn't have an issue with Dotel coming in actually.

It is keeping Valverde in about 3 hitters too long. We didn't win last night. The Yankees lost.

yes, he felt tightness is the elbow.

Leyland said he is quite concerned

Just as long as it is "tightness"

Fire Leyland and his cronies. Instill some new life. They look like a bunch of zombies out there.

No, the "we are injured" excuse will come into play. Therefore, Leyalnd's season is saved.

Yep, a firing might help in that regard.

The funny thing is, if JL were to get the ax now, it really would kind of be unwarranted. As compared to reasons he could have been let go in the past.

I think Lloyd is on his last days with the team. I really do.

And if he isn't then DD needs to be.

Why do you think that Lloyd is down to this last days?

IF that firing comes, it will have to come all the way from the top, because JL is surely not going to drop the hammer on his good friend, and i really don't think DD will make that call either.

The Angels did it to Scioscia's good friend Mickey Hatcher, a move the manager was extremely upset about. But, look what it did for the Angels, they are now 2 over .500, hitting the ball better, and now only 3 1/2 out behind the Rangers.

The question is, does Mr I tell DD that the time has come, that a change HAS to be made to shake some things up, and that the hitting is the # 1 priority on the team?

Time will tell.

If we get swept out by Cleveland this week and the offense sputters like they have been, you can bet Lloyd is gone.

DD will have to make that decision he doesn't want to make if he wants to salvage this season. This season is a massive disappointment and he is delusional to think if it isn't.

We already know Mumbles is already delusional

It is running late as it did not make any adjustments to the traffic and construction.
