They've built a great team. I wish we could. We have a good team, but it's flawed, like almost every other team is flawed.

Texas isn't very flawed. No reason to hate them. They built their team, and made shrewd trades.

Very good point. Nolan Ryan has done a tremendous job with the whole Rangers organization after getting involed in ownership. They are great players, with good attitudes, and a coach which fits them well.

I will also say that Texas baseball fans are great. Having been to many visiting ball parks, Texas fans are some of the friendliest people who love good baseball. Southern hospitality seems to extend to the ballpark as well, quite unlike the North East and even Mid West (Twins fans can be pretty cruel sometimes).

Funny enough, I think their weakest point is in their starting pitching.

It's not the best in the bigs, but it's certainly enough to get by on. That team reminds me of the Big Red Machine in the 70's: Greate offense, great bullpen, and good, but not great, starting pitching.

If I were a kid just learning about MLB ..chances are I'd pick the Rangers as my team.

They've put together a 'great' team ..been to the World Series 2 years in a row. But they need to win a World Series to be considered GREAT (all CAPS)!

I hate them because they beat the Tigers,the did build a good team and they did it the right way.They also have a good G.M. Manager....

oh also, there isnt much to like about the state...bunch of military installations and prisons(talk about a welfare state) alot of hillbilly swagger and the first place i ever saw the women folk take up smokeless tobacco/chew/DIP as kind of a family tradition.

Austin was a cool party spot and beans have no place in chilli and im not dissing the ruhtardedass texans at least they have the swagger...

Want to know how he got out without prosecution? He got out of banking (sort of) and helped start the USO. And during a dire conflict like WWII, how can you prosecute someone the servicemen love for their few entertainment opportunities? lol Pretty smart move.
