Nope. We just give each other gifts. Families get together and have a good time, and all that. It's not a birthday party though. I would have to agree with you on this. While we recognize these birthdays, we don't tend to celebrate them with a birthday party.
I agree that that date of 12/25 was chosen, not so much as to conflict, but overtake, the pagan holiday. As no one is positive of the date, people often think that it is the correct day. It isn't. I lean more towards somewhere between September/October.
