so you were happy when Dusty ran Willie Harris and Mesoraco and Costanzo and Negron and some of the other clowns ahead of Leake in pinch hit situations- give me a break- Leake is a fantastic athlete and could pinch run as well. He got 2 hits off Matt Cain- the home run on a nasty slider at the knees- most of our every day guys couldn't have driven that pitch.

So yes- it really is that simple if you have some balls

agree- he must hit his spots and change speeds. Could you imagine if Latos pitched with the intelligence and craftiness of Leake instead of just being a thrower.-he would be an all-star

He would make a good/above average pinch hitter. I know DB's reasoning is that he doesn't want to hurt the other players mentally knowing they are batting behind a pitcher, but come on the object is to win games and that means playing your best when needed.
