And this thread continues to haunt Drownhomer.
- .299 BA, .329 OBP, 13 HR, 47 RBI
- .242 BA, .341 OBP, 10 HR, 36 RBI
Guess which stat line belongs to who.
It's probably fair to compare their rookie season at this point.
- .299 BA, .329 OBP, 13 HR, 47 RBI in 234 at bats- .260 BA, .367 OBP, 7HR, 35 RBI in 208 at bats
Age of debut: Youk 25/Will 23.
The kind of damage that Will is doing this year, Youk didn't do until he was 28. Will is 23.
It's pretty obvious to me who better player is at this point.
Is it as obvious to everyone else? BROOKSYBEAST!
At this point in Evan Longoria's rookie year, he was hitting .276, .874 OPS, 19 HR, 63 RBI, and that was in 30+ more games. If Middlebrooks had that same amount of games, his production would easily match or beat that.
I'm not saying Will is the next Evan Longoria... but he's probably the next Evan Longoria.
Meanwhile, Youk is the next Casey Blake.
I love this thread.
Oh look.... another 3 run bomb... and it ties the game....
Can this thread become any more irrelevant? Lma0.
If there's any Red Sox fan that still regrets trading Youk away, OPEN YOUR EYES!
Thrillbrooks is the future of this team, and the present!
