The NHL channel has the US/Finland in a pre-World Junior exibition game, right now .

End of the 1st .......... 1-0 Finland .......... although, the US "also" scored, but they don't have replay during exibation games, and it was so quick, the officials didn't see it .

However, the NHL television "does" .......... but, "still" it doesn't count .

Between the "astronomical" amount of US penalties, and some "amazing" Finish goaltending, the score is "still" 1-0 Finland, after 2 periods .

Actually, the best US scoring chances have come "short-handed" !

I have, honestly, lost count of the US penalties, but, the Fins have started scoring on them .......... of course, this game is "in" Finland .......... so, I turned to another channel .

Is Matt Grzelcyk playing for USA? I never really heard whether he made the team or not. All I saw was Hamilton, Subban and Camara making Team Canada.

The Washington Nationals are still the Montreal Expos where I come from.

Don't you hate that? the Capitals and Nationals owe Quebec debt from oil money.

Apparently, the NHL has backed off, a little, on it's demands for the CBA .

A conference call is supposed to happen today, with a face-to-face tomorrow .

The players threat to drop their representation, may have lit a fire under the NHL .

They've lost a little over half the season already, hopefully this will end this !

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It ALWAYS WORKS!! (it works in basketball)
IMO...BOTH sides have to get "New Negotiators" Too many HUGE EGOS involved with these clowns they have now. A deal SHOULD have been struck about a month ago. If the deal presented NO gets approved.....Just look at the difference in what was offered over a month ago. NOT A LOT of differences. (nothing that couldn't have been worked out...Without the Egos)

Yeah, I've posted before that I didn't like the representation for "either" side, in this .

Hopefully, this will end this !

Hearing both sides disappointed with lack of true movement in each other's new positions today... Key is to keep talking though..

Honestly would not shock me to see no hockey for another year

Another year as in what would be the 2013/2014 season? I'd say 20% chance that happens. Which is 20% more than it should ever be. Ridiculous. Especially for a sport where this happened a few years ago only. Even now if there is a year there will be an asterisk to whoever wins.

Its owners Like J Jacobs who's making hockey Irrelevant. They weren't happy to lose a whole season just a short time ago, now they want to do it again. (just when Hockey was beginning to come back)

David Pagnotta ?@TheFourthPeriod
Per source directly involved in negotiations, "a significant number of (CBA) issues" have been agreed upon... (1/3)

David Pagnotta ?@TheFourthPeriod
but "not all issues are of equal importance." There are several "fundamental issues" (ex: the cap) that still need to be agreed to... (2/3)

David Pagnotta ?@TheFourthPeriod
...once 2 sides get to that point, we're golden. But who knows when that'll happen / how long it'll takes. Meeting set for later today (3/3)

Horray for progress!

"Finally … yeah, sure, Tyler Seguin hoisted the Stanley Cup as an NHL rookie. But a hockey player isn’t really a champion until he plays in an international tournament no one cares about and kisses a giant egg whisk."

Well I guess the USA team beating the Swedish team in the IIHF WJC finals is holding me off until next week. They better agree on something by the deadline.
