lol... You cant blame the loss on the guy who hit a HR for the only run scored by the Jays...

It was a travel day and Jays looked worn out... They'll win it tonight.

when did snider become a plus defender....he misplayed balls all the time in the field...the fact that his defense is better than thames' does not make him even an average major league defender. Snider would have missed that ball too...

Snider is way better LF'er than Thames and Snider would have had that homerun ball.

It's funny how in ST when I heard Snider got demoted and I was mad. I said that Snider was better than Thames offensively and defensively, and we would be worse off and Thames with his bad defense would cost us games and cost us runs .

His defense has gotten worse. His routes to the ball are awkward at best.

you can keep that godlike image of snider in your head....but if you run as fast as you can at a wall and put your glove up to the ball at the exact same time as you impact the wall.....you're not going to catch the ball very often..even the best left fielders don't get that ball every time...snider is not a good left fielder....he's better than thames...but when did he all the sudden start getting good jumps and reading the ball well off the bat....he never did before..

Snider has made some great plays in the outfield , sliding catches that Thames would never have gotten too. Snider is a better overall player than Thames is . Offensively and defensively.

I think Thames will be an average major leaguer. I see him as a DH to be honest.

If the Blue Jays think so highly of Thames , why haven't they traded Snider away?

They wanted to showcase Thames for a possible trade , but Thames poor play offensively and defensively I believe has backfired on them.

Thames is a concern , but if you want a bigger concern than Thames , it is Adam Lind . He has been awful and Lind needs to go. I would rather see David Cooper as our everyday first basemen.

Really you know this for a fact?

I must've missed the memo where the Blue Jays management invited us on their strategy sessions.

LOL, Nope wasn't invited to any strategy session by Blue Jays Management. It was just my opinion. I should have stated that. I don't think it is too far fetched though and not out of the realm of possibility that they could have been doing this.

I was right last year when people weren't happy with Hill at 2nd, and I suggested getting KJ as our 2nd basemen because they both needed a change of scenery. I happened to be dead on.

I just think if Thames can perform like he did last year offensively some team might take him off our hands + one of our pitching prospects and we can get something decent in return for him. Maybe an effective number 2 pitcher behind Romero.

I agree it's certainly a possibility. But I think this possibility is more likely due to the fact that Snider hasn't performed to his expectations rather than trying to showcase Thames.

I beleive the Blue Jays will try to hold as long as they can to Snider and Thames until one of them takes the job and literally runs with it. Otherwise, they're just trying to reduce risk, keeping options open by having both and getting them regular at bats. Of course if someone gives AA an offer he can't refuse, i.e. a significant overpay, I'm sure he's open to trading either one of them.
