I would like to thank the Angels for offering Albert a contract he could not refuse. Although I don't understand the 10 year part of the deal...it sure has helped out around the Cardinal clubhouse. Money to burn. I am sorry that you are now handcuffed for the next decade with a guy that will never come close to his NL numbers. Contracts like this are bad for the Angels and bad for baseball. Perhaps this experience will wise up your front office...but I doubt it.
