I like Terry but I think he's bit slow on reporting the action...crack of the ball, cheer of the crowd...then the call. We already know it was a big hit or out based on the crowd reaction. I do enjoy listening to the KLAA broadcasts though. Gubizca's OK...I like that he's a little more critical of questionable Scioscia decisions.

He actually had the tumor throughout the 71 season. He thought he could put off surgery. He had the second highest WAR in the AL in 1970. His WAR in 1970 was 7.7. His WAR in 1971 was .6.

He couldn't move. He had the tumor removed and he couldn't run. He finished with 78 triples. Only 8 came after his 29 Birthday.

For them not to know how good he was is inexcusable.

I'm an 8 year season ticket holder. This year I was only able to attend 7 games so I listen to the game on the radio on the way home from work and then watch the remainder of the game on TV. I guess my solution for next year is to go to more games at the stadium!!!

Nice solution! Maybe that's Arte's plan? Get more out to the stadium!

I'd have to say that after watching and listening to Angels broadcasters for 50 years, their current team is certainly not the worst they've had. I like HOFer Vin, but a team of two announcers is more enjoyable to me.

Actually, the reason I posted on this particular post was I thought maybe Mark or Victor may read it because of the title. I've discovered no way to actually reach Victor via the Angels web site or that of FSW.

Just wanted to pass along two positive comments to Victor if he does look at the post. (1) A "foul tip" is a foul ball that goes directly from the bat to the catcher's mitt and is caught. When the ball goes from the bat to the mitt, but is not caught, it's just a foul ball. (See definition of "foul tip" in the baseball rule book, section 2.0.)

(2) When a player or team is not performing well, I think the word "struggling" is a much better fit than "scuffling," which usually describes fighting at close quarters.

Totally right, the Mariners team make every defensive play to be the best in History and White Sox are the worst homers ever, its not white sox need, its "we" need a bloop and a blast, and that was against the Angels and darn it, they got it, in that game, that was a few years ago. I am still bitter LOL. I like Baltimore's main announcer he has a slight spanish accent and a good sense of humor (excpet he tells th same Dino Ebel Joke every game see no hear no Dino, well you get it). The Yankees John Sterling is so bad he is good. He has a saying for every player like when they had Melky Cabrera (sp), the Melk man delivers. Or another A Bomb for A Rod, when A rod hits a home run. The worst or best is for Robinson Cano, OH DON'T YOU JUST KNOW..... LOL And when the Yankees win at the end of the game its Ball game Over, theeeeeeeeee Yankees win!!! Like they have never won and this is the first time.

and yes Vin Scully is still great!!!!

Terry Smith is boring and he won't ever get on the Angels or Scioscia for poor play. I guess a boring announcer befits this boring offense ( even though there are some great youngsters) this team is DULL and spineless. When Abreu and Wells are a couple of the veteran leaders this should be expected

I like our current line up, both TV and radio...although I think Jose tends to get tongue tied occasionally. I have had the opportunity to meet them and sit in each booth for an inning this past season and not only was that an education (the amount of work they and the production crew do) but they are Angel fans without being "homers" like those nimrods in Chicago. Plus, they are truly nice people. And Darin Chan, the radio producer, has to be the nicest of the bunch.

Go Halos...WE BELIEVE!

I think the Rangers duo is pretty good, too. I really like the guy that replaced the other guy. Sorry, my name recognition is really poor right now. Eric Nadel, maybe?

I have to agree that I don't like the TV team. Mark is good but Victor is way too plastic. But then so was Steve Physioc. I go back to the Don Wells and Buddy Blattner days on radio. And yes, there have been several since then. Enberg and Drysdale were a great team.

Maybe we will see some changes on the field and in the booth in '12. I would definitely love to see Rex Hudler back full time either radio, tv or both. He is a fan favorite and good for morale.
