Beating the Cubs was LA's world series LOL

That would be like me being proud of the Cubs beating the Braves in '03. I still consider that year a failure.

I'm glad we didn't win the WS that year. If we did McCourt probably wouldn't be on his way out and we wouldn't be able to add Hamels, Cain and Greinke next year. We will literally be able to bump our payroll up by 100 mill and still have a lesser payroll than the Angels. We will probably be able to add Wright and Hamilton also.

"add Hamels, Cain and Greinke next year."

hahahahhaha good luck getting 2 let alone 3

Cain/Hamels and Greinke is a possible option. Besides, I would rather have Marcum than Greinke

Why wouldn't we be able to get all three considering we can bump our payroll between 100-120 mill?? I guess it's possible one of them won't come here but ifthat happens we will probably just go with Marcum. Or maybe wait one more year to add the fourth ace to our rotation.

Did you see McCourts future plans?? He was gonna use the 4 billion dollar TV deal to buy soccer teams around the globe and he was going to lower our payroll from 110 mill to 75 mill (currently 80 mill)during that same time. He was literally gonna keep all of the 4 billion for himself. That's why Selig jumped in and said Nope not happening. Funny thing is those records never would've became public if it wasn't for the divorce. He was really gonna destroy the Dodgers forever.

The Bulls can win the regular season without him, Frank. If he's there for the playoffs, it's all good.

Because you would be committing 65 million at least to 3 players, then add 20 million for Kemp and your at 85 for only 4 players. Sorry not going to happen

Sorry you're wrong, Kobe is still putting up the same old Kobe numbers and Pau and Bynum combo is younger than the Boozer Noah combo. The whole "old" thing is based off of Kobe and until he plays like he is old it wont matter.

Like I said, our payroll is currently 80 mill (including over 10 mill in salary to Manny and Jones), we will be able to add 100 mill to that 80 mill into the 180 mill range. So yes we could pay them 65 mill AND have 35 mill left over for offense. Even if it takes 70 mill to sign all three we could still do it.

how do you see them jumping to 180 million in payroll?

180 million? As long as you have your head up there, why don't you check for hemorrhoids?

Kobe has been really good, but has been inefficient and leads the league in shots Lakers are good defensively but I don't see them scoring enough to beat elite teams like Heat, Thunder, and Bulls. They do have 3 good options but we will see if that is enough to carry them in the playoffs and Kobe has played a ton of minutes.

Also Kemp's salary or Kershaws wont come out of the 100 mill we have to spend. Kershaws total is already figured into the 80 and Kemp will get a 10 mill increase in pay that isnt figured into the 80 mill. But the deadweight contracts coming off cancel that out.

Money that will be coming off of the 80 mill total very soon

Uribe 8 mill
Manny 10 mill

Where are you getting this extra 100 million from? The only team that can support that is the yankees and that is only because of YES, last I checked there was no plan for the Dodgers to have their own network like that

Dodgers currently get 25 mill a year from their TV deal. The new TV deal is gonna be around 4 billion for 20 years, so that's 200 mill a year. That is where the money is gonna come from. And it's why the team is about to sale for 1.5 billion.

Again why wouldn't it be?? We are adding almost 200 mill a year in revenue, even if the owner pockets half of it we would still be able to raise the payroll to 180 mill. Why would the Angels be able to do it and not us??
