    • AJ Burnett, history repeating itself?

I guess you need to make up all these conspiracy theories to take your mind off the fact that your team had a convicted felon as an owner for a few decades, huh?

yeah, there was NOTHING fishy about the corrupt, smoke-filled backroom deal -- that's why John Henry kicked in another $30 Million at the last second (so now his "winning" bid was only $60 Million LESS than the "unacceptable" bids) -- almost exactly the same instant that the MA AG was about to launch an investigation into the "fix" -- just "coincidence", ehh? keep on telling yourself that

Remind me again which team had the convicted felon for an owner again?

oh, BTW, I missed it -- when WAS the duck boat parade for the "inevitable" 2011 Bosox WS? WHERE is the trophy on display in Boston; I haven't seen any announcements of its location

It's right next to the Yanks. Congrats again your ONE title the last ELEVEN years. You would think a convicted felon woulda found a better way to spend TWO AND A HALF BILLION dollars, eh?

let's see, the proceeds from the sale was directed to the Yawkey Foundation -- nice work by THIEF John Henry, making sure that there was less money for the Foundation's work! (but, heah, more $$ to spend on his "trophy wife" --- god knows, she didn't marry him for his looks or "personality")

Wow, the loss against the O's still has you this p-ssed off huh?

WTG using spring training stats to make your point. It's making you look like an effing genius. Everybody knows spring training stats are the best indicator of performance when games are going to matter.

But now that they cleared out the Liquor from the clubhouse, and Bobby Valentine can't give an interview with saying something about the Yankees, I'm sure you guys will quickly squash the worst september pennant run a team has ever had.

Frank, Shut up

way to bring up the fact we only have 1 championship in 11 years, bro.

Do you REALLY want to start comparing the last 9 decades?

Seriously, bring up spring training stats this much makes you look like a complete short busser. Sabathia's trying a new pitch, other guys are pitching straight fastball and changeup, other guys are simply looking at the scoreboard to see what velocity they're at.

Nobody cares.

If you want to go 30-0 for april and then tank the regular season again, Be my guest. But our last meaningful memory of the Red Sox was you guys blowing it against the Orioles to miss the playoffs and complete yet another famous redsox collapse. So until the games actually matter again, do yourself a favor and shut up

Nobody here is impressed

heah, the Lt. must be right about giving so much credence to Spring Training results -- I mean, look at the top two ST teams in the AL (KC and Twins) and the NL (Giants and Rockies) in 2011 -- that did such a good job of predicting the 2011 regular season, right?

Oh you actually wanna talk baseball now? Maybe you can reply to my question about CC being a .500 pitcher vs. teams with a winning record last year?

Or does April-September not count either?

Now you avoid that again and whine and moan about John Henry, lol.

Boston's so worried about ST stats they forget to actually play when the season starts

Looking back on your 0-6 start, which of those losses hurts the most? Now consider that just one of them could have meant playoff baseball in boston. Thank God for affirmative action X2 this year, you actually have a chance against the Rays

Hey, don't make me angry! The Sox are looking good so far during Spring Training?

If you don't want to be made angry, don't take after frank and shove spring training stats down our throats as though they matter.

It's ST. Nobody cares

Yeah I now. They fell into that 2-10 hole and they tried to kid themselves into thinking they would still go to the World Series.

honestly they had a great shot to. But they just played so god awful down the stretch.

If you start poorly, have a great middle, and finish off as bad as you started, it leaves plenty of room to miss out.

But even with how badly they played down the stretch they still could have made it to the playoffs with just 1 more win somewhere in that schedule. And when you miss by 1, a 2-10 start looms BIG

Remember when they were trying to make a deal with the Mets for a pitcher they would use for 1 start before he was ineligible for the PS?
