Better be getting something <damn good back if we're trading Escobar plus our #2 prospect.

Esco's contract is like our 4th or 5th most valuable asset.

But if Hech develops (AS GRANT PROMISED US HE WOULD), trading him in a package for a frontline arm could be a very sexy option.

first pitch to gonzo a foot inside

third pitch, passball was inside off the plate and JPA was set up off the plate outside. yeah, thats jpas fault? not!

forth pitch JPA set up outside and pitch inner half again

fifth pitch bounced in front of the plate.(buck even comments on how well he played to knock it down)

6th pitch was right down the shoot and gonzo was just late

santos actually pitched ok to youkilis.

Santos got worse in the Ortiz AB. was close in the beginning and by the end was not even close to his spots.

with 1-2 on Ross, Santos missed 6 inches off the plate, then low and off the plate and finally and finally bounced one beside the plate while JPA was set up inside.

I'm sure walton went out to the plate to scold JPA for not throwing strikes. good job!

the throw from bautista was so short armed that it bounced before the infield line. he shanked it and it looks like it had spin. I'd like to see another angle, but it was not an "easy" play to make on two bounces.

they were lucky Lind was awake with Santos throwing the ball back over JPAs head.

trying to blame it all on JPA is infantile. sure, he might have made that play.... but it would have been an amazing play. if Bautista one hops it, he has a better chance.

the jays only scored 2 runs and santos didn't close the deal. not jpa's fault entirely. he didn't hit and that contributed more to the loss than his D. but you can say that for more people that just JPA.

maybe you were watching a different game???

"Santos+Mathis>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Santos+JPA "

There's a reason the Jays have used experienced catchers with heavy stuff guys like Morrow.

Tonight we all saw why. Santos is filthy but he needs a good catcher.

"trying to blame it all on JPA is infantile."

<Jesus.

I've only said about 5 times in this thread that Santos was (very) bad tonight too. I just find it intellectually irresponsible to be posting "JPA was great behind the plate" when in fact he was about as far away from that as possible.

And since it came from the same person who posted "It's only 3 games but a trend is a trend" earlier in the night, I'm less inclined not to call you out for being out to lunch.

+1 good sir ^^

@o2cui2i for the love of god just stop defending JPA's lack of defense! I think you are trolling us all.... No one is this in love with JPA's defense, let alone after a game we lost that he is responsible for... IMO.
