Why do people continue to call Dempster a "great" player?

He may have been a "great" teammate. He was an average, at best, player.

We should call the management a "great" for keeping the team profitable by putting minors in the majors and dumping all talent...

He was a good player...agreed not great

We just lost another game...23 games out of first place...yes the whole scene annoys me...if you go watch a ball game around other Cities you do not see Bat Boys wearing pretty pants... most other Baseball Teams have bat boys that are dressed like the players...not like they are out playing badmitten.. we will not see a World Series for another 100 years at this pace...we keep showing up and rooting for the losers...we sing like little kids happy as clams because our minor league squad just won a game... they dumped all the expensive players..
